The worst thing to me is when you get a few jobs in a row and try to build up some momentum, then OOW again!
The second worst thing is that when there is no work I actually like it, I actually am relieved for awhile - until I realize I am unlikely to be able to make up the time - unless I sit here and try to snatch one here and one there, meaning basically sitting here from dawn to bedtime just to get any hours in really.
Had there been work, I could have forced myself to sit there my entire shift and get it over with, but now I doubt I will make half my hours, even if the work does build up again, because it comes in dribs and drabs and then runs out again.
Used to be this happened once in a great while, you were more than happy to use PTO, but now it seems to be more the rule than the exception.
I see Nuance as simply not caring that we don't have enough work to do to make a living. I would rather have the whip cracked than have no work. It's just demoralizing.
