I am so sick of getting emails from OTI pleading to transcribe these accounts that pay 7.5 cpl and are practically as long as books and ALL VERY difficult ESL's. 7.5 cpl....... Really?!!!

Are you getting these emails recently? Are they new accounts? Just wondering since I had asked some time back about more work. Is it the account specs that are long as books or the reports themselves?

I got an email about a new acct paying 8 cpl last week. I responded and of course never heard back. I think they should let us on the T acct have a chance to work on other accounts. I have found another job thank goodness. I'm so disappointed with OTI.

At least you have accounts that have work in them. The accounts that I am on at OTI don't have much work at all.

EMR 2014 Deadline w/Penalty - OTI w/no work

Failure to have EMR technology in 2014 means penalties such as reduced Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements at 1% up to 5%. Depends on whether EMR technologies are in place at a minimum or in full use. No transcription work because physicians and hospitals cannnot take a hit by the federal government with Medicare and Medicaid.

When was there an email about 8 cpl on a new account? Was it backlog work or an actual new account?

Three isn't much work for a full paycheck anymore.

How long it takes them to realize I'm not working for them any longer. The communication is so poor with this company it's not even a little bit funny!

I am sick to death of being bounced all over the place! I would love to force the QA lead and CCM to swich every 10 minutes as well... Recently I was told the account I've been on for the past decade is going to voice recognition. Having worked on a VR platform briefly, I know I don't want to get screwed making half the money with longer hours. I'm going to be sending out brochures to doctors' offices in my area. I'm wondering which specialties would be the best ones to target - i.e., more likely to outsource their transcription to an individual transcriptionist, least likely to have EMR or EPIC. It was bad enough that we lost 1 of the accounts that I have had for 13 years last week, but today, without notifying me, I was put on new accounts.....the accounts where they are firing people left and right because of not passing audits. The worst thing to me is when you get a few jobs in a row and try to build up some momentum, then OOW again!
