Seems to me, "one year acute care experience" was the basic requirement to sign on with an MTSO. Then it went to three years. Now, a lot of places require "five years' experience." Here's what's required to get hired as a coder for MM right now: CCS required; RHIA, RHIT preferred. Bachelors or Associates degree preferred.
