IS NUANCE CUTTING OUR PAY AGAIN? - WHAT????????
Posted: Jun 13, 2014
As someone noted below, they are getting 2 cents. I am getting 4 cents per edited line. Is this being cut further?

I commented on the 2 cents. I am not sure they are going to cut pay, but in a recent newsletter, right before MT week, one of the very higher-ups stated that they are looking at possible rate of pay with changes possibly in October.
The changes in Oct are suppose to make it easier to get bonuses. So I'm told. - mt2

Gee, wonder if that means the cherry picking will finally come to a stop, and they will actually confront the bad dictators and have better sound files and drafts, and if we will start getting paid for having to type all the information for imports on a report on the pend notes, and the time we spend having to look up demographics, and I guess I will start there, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
Can we at least stop training QC people? - For starters?

So tired of sending reports after listening, listening again, then completing the report, hoping to get that one word from context somewhere later, listening to it faster, listening to it slower, and finally just giving up and submitting for editing because the account I work on does not permit any blanks on certain WTs. Mind you, by this time I have made no money for the 1/2 hour all of this took and have done 100% review of my own report because I KNOW it will be scrutinized frontward and backwards by the wannabe QC trainees...not to mention I truly am concerned about patient care.
Then, I get the FIESA ding for some magically missed word elsewhere in the report? An error I know I did not make but cannot prove because we are not allowed to hear the reports again? And yet the QC percentage can disqualify us for a bonus...
What a crooked bunch of Dept. of Labor dodging, penny-grabbing, greedy losers. Can't wait to get outtaheahhh.
Does this company hire and then after a quarterly review have QA pick your work apart and then tell you they can either terminate your contract or cut your pay. Understand this has happened to more than one person. Has anyone experienced this. They told me I was doing awesome work, not they picked the work after and then tell me that in 2 weeks my contract will either be terminated or will have a reduced line rate. This makes no sense. I have 18 years experience.&nb ...
"She had a fairly significant increase in pain. We were concerned about the possibility of swelling inside the cast. We cut it in a s/l "bi val" or "bioval" fashion and released some of the pain."
Can anyone help with this one? ...
I'm not understanding if a person was making 8 or 9 cents a line for straight transcription and then the account goes to voice rec and the pay is decreased for that, why is the pay for straight transcription also going down? It's the same doctors, so why am I now suddenly worth 2 cents less to do straight transcription? Personally, if it isn't VR worthy, then you would think that it would still be worth the 8 or 9 cents a line. ...
Have Express Scribe Pro, This week the last few seconds of a voice file are being cut off, don't know where to go in Menu to adjust this or fix it. Any suggestions. TIA ...
For those lucky enough to work directly for the client (no MTSO) are any EMRs set up for transcription, or do you subscribe to a service to send Word files? Is it an easy setup? The only thing holding me back from trying to get my own accounts again is having no tech help for problems that are bound to occur.
Any recommendations for services to transmit files and what do they charge.
I just can't keep working for .04 cents a line. It's completely impossible to live ...
own without having to do massive layoffs.
The real underlying intention here is to have all work taken over by India. Quality and patient safety have nothing to do with it. Paying India workers mere pennies increases the bottom line. There is no public explaining to do or announce regarding massive layoffs. They will simply claim US workers quit on their own and they cannot find employees here in the US. I would love to know how much the person or persons were paid to think up this pla ...
Some *Daptik* was applied to the wound and the patient was placed in a soft cast.

In case anyone hadn't seen this. In brief:
Nearly 200 jobs in western Wisconsin are being cut, in a cost-saving measure by Mayo Clinic Health System. The company says it will contract out 188 medical transcriptionist jobs by Nov. 1 to Amphion Medical Solutions, based in Madison.Mayo said the move will save them 40 percent in expenses and it will try to re-assign affected employees to other openings within the company. It says Amphion will also discuss openings within their business.&l ...
The recent reduction in shift differentials is the first phase of reducing the workforce during those hours. You can expect there to be an eventual phase-out of the shift differentials altogether. Why? The ultimate goal is to utilize offshore vendors for that work.
This pressurized reduction in income opportunitywill cause some natural attrition: Some will not be able to afford the pay loss, some will be upset and simply quit.
It will take a little time but ...
So had work for 2 days out of the week with no problems and then all of a sudden an email appears that help is needed for the weekend and also wanting people to change their schedules to the weekend. All of a sudden, no jobs available appear. Apparently, work is just cut off until people start volunteering to change their schedule or volunteering to cover hours on the weekend and when some poor schmoe changes their schedule or volunteers, all of a sudden we have work again. According to a poster below which has apparently already attended one of the payroll meetings (as the poster posted) for nuance they have decided to keep the incentive part of all of our pay going with an exception that now you have to have over the industry standard of 98% to get a production based incentive.
In addition (if this poster is accurate) they have again cut the overall pay from 8 and 4 to 3 3/4 AND 7 1/2. This is nothing but a bunch of crapploa...an MT who is now getting ...
that fall during the shift. For example, if half of your hours fall in 3rd shift and half fall in 1st shift, do the 3rd shift hours pay more cpl? Or, do all hours have to fall within the shift to qualify?
Thanks,

I thought they were 2 different services. Everyone is buying out everyone, so who knows. All the small companies have been merged I guess. I thought Nuance was out of New York and were the primary with VR. Maybe one has to keep up with the changes and be a member and pay the dues and go to the meetings with AAMT and be a CMT to keep up with the changes, even though you still get 4 cents. ...
Does anyone know why the ad says "No inquiries from overseas" when they obviously offshore the work? Anyone reading that would incorrectly assume they do not offshore. I was reading an article in the newspaper that a journalist was talking about a few days ago regarding the hospital outsourcing to the Web/Nuance, and the spokesperson for the hospital said in the article that the company only employs US MTs. ...
The ad Nuance has up says increased PTO. Anyone willing to tell me what it is now.
Also information on their bonus program would be helpful.
Thank you. ...
....First send us an email with fabulous Nuance ins (bad news) because they had to announce that due to open season. However at the same time telling us that the new pay structure (probably more bad news) will be announced at a later date but will be effective Jan 1 2012. Good way to keep us hanging on while they are so behind with their horrid platform.
Guess what Nuance/Nuisance, it will not work as your reputation has gone from bad to worse and we are now realizing that the We ...
If Webmedx does away with or changes their recently advertised "PRODUCTION BASED INCENTIVE" bonus and adopts the Nuance quality based bonus then this change may be considered by quite a few WMX employees as yet another cut in pay. I’m sure that there are quite a few MT’s currently at WMX that have a high QA average and are earning $300-$400 (some even more) in production incentive pay each pay period, which equates to $600-$800 per month.
As an example, acco ...
