FIESA/changes not being saved - sickened

Major error because I did not send a CC, which I am sure I did, I remember doing it.  I remember reading here before something about this and it was proven that changes made to the document were not being saved, Tech Support was involved.  Does anybody know what I'm talking about?  This is so frustrating.  I am sure I sent that copy.  I have mentioned to my TSM in the past that way too many people were complaining of the same issue for it to just be discounted.  I was told to quit reading this board and if I felt I had an issue contact Tech Support.  Well, how do I know if I have an issue?  Computers are not infallible and I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that these things are happening.  In the past, I've had 5 and 6 jobs audited in a week.  This is Thursday and there sits my one lonely little job of 90 something lines with a major error for not sending a copy and a score of 98%.

For them to even get back to me.

Then could be up to an hour or more with them on your machine trying to figure it out, all of which is unpaid (for us).

Some things that are wrong I think are in the software and when it doesn't do what it is supposed to they usually just say "that stopped happening a few upgrades ago" so if they can't be bothered neither can I.

It's a pain you have to sort this out yourself as it is not your fault. I have learned to work around issues because not only does it take ages, it usually results in no solution so what's the point?

Nuance treats the software like it treats us, use it for as long as they possibly can, don't put any money into it.

The tech people, I have to imagine, ARE paid for their time a considerable amount, and for that we get a snarky condescending attitude (not always, there are a few good ones) and if it is a Nuance machine they feel free to go in and delete stuff off it like Firefox.

I hope you find a solution and it doesn't result in hours of your time wasted.

I work on Escription but not for Nuance and I have noticed things I am absolutely sure I have changed showing up as errors in QA audits. I did mention it and was told they have no knowledge of such a thing happening. Sad thing is, there is no way to prove it other than taking a screen shot of each and every job you do. Too time consuming.

If you put anything in the CC section and then make a change to the patient information or have anything other that Unknown Patient before sending to QA and they change the information, it clears out anything you have put in the CC section. Hope this helps!

So I wonder if that would show anything?

I know I was accused of not changing something in the demographics per the specs for a particular work type and I felt sure that I had because it is a specific thing you have to do with this particular work type every time, so my TSM checked the audit trail and it had indeed been changed but somehow had not stuck.

My changing of the demos per specs DID show up on the audit trail, however, so not my fault and she said she would refer it to tech.

I would request a reversal anyway and in the comment section ask that the TSM review the document as uploaded by you. Most platforms do offer audit trails or versioning so the TSM can see different stages of the report:
1. What the MLS received.
2. What the MLS uploaded.
3. What the QC received.
4. What the QC uploaded.

Worth a try.

anything that's going on. Of courese they're going to tell you "you're the only one complaining..." and that's been proven to be a big pile of BS. I've had that happen too, told I'm the only one with a particular issue, and later others tell me it happened to them also.

If you ever get told that again, stop reading this board, tell the Initials to shove off, this board is about the only way you ever know what's going on is from other MTs.

My changes were not consistently saved in the Enterprise platform.

How I proved to myself: Made the change in the document. Did CLT-J which pulls up the restore points. Checked the most current 3 restore points, changes not there. Went back into report, checked to make sure the change was in the report, it was. Did manual save.

Went into CTL-J to most current restore point. Manual save had not saved.

Went back into report and just waited for the autosave feature to kick in. After 2 minutes (on the clock by the autosave times), the change finally took effect.

When a program 'updated' on my computer, it snuck in an add-on that was interfering with Enterprise software. So from now on, I go into Internet explorer 'tools,' add-ons, manage add-ons and check to see that no add on was added when something updated.

After the add-on was disabled, the system immediately went back to working correctly.

End of story.

I also had an unfortunate experience with a major 3.0 CPSE that was absolutely positively certain I changed because of how much I fat fingered it and thought I would have to use spellcheck to type it correctly. So I am absolutely certain I made the change in the text. It did not save. So, that is why I did what I did to verify that the changes were not saving and that IT needed to get in and find out why.

the new computer is vista with word 2007. the old computer ran XP with word 2000. i have backed the auto correct entries up on a jump drive but cant figure out how to install in word 2007, any ideas? also need to download a new spell checker or figure out how to get the old one from word 2000, as I cant find the CD where I orginally installed stedmans. Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated!! ...

I know we complain and complain about this on here and we fight and argue with the TLs about this...I was marked off half a point for EACH blank that I left on a dictation that the tape cut out.  The only explanation from QA was that "it was clearly understood".  I am just wondering how it was clearly understood.  I went back and listened to the tape and sure enough where I had blanks, the tape was cutting out.  So why am I being marked off for blanks.  Then on a few ot ...

Okay, first quarter FIESA reviewed about 80 reports of mine and I actually got my incentive.  Now for this quarter, I am wavering on not getting my incentive with a 98.88 and for the past few weeks they have not reviewed a single one of my reports.  I smell something fishy.  This whole FIESA thing is to a) review enough reports a quarter so you fall below 99 and then b) if you are below 99, stop reviewing reports so you are stuck there with no chance to bring it up!  How fric ...

our post-audit reports are randomly pulled.  If you score high enough to get the bonus, your reports are gone through by the hatchet queens in India until they can find a report they can "audit" to bring you below 99%.  If you are kicked back to 98.99%, they still meet their contract requirements to the client, and Nuance does not have to pay you a bonus.  ...

I almost always get my critical errors on one particular doctor who I think I understand and then it turns out I miss something.  I think there is a way to do a report on critical errors and see if I can trend the dictator but I can't figure out how.  Does anybody know?  And before you tell me to ask my TSM I did but as usual never got an answer. ...

Much as I dislike FIESA and all this QA, what I really hate is finding out I've been typing something WRONG for 30 years.  The only thing I can say for myself is some QA decades ago filled it in for me and I didn't look it up.  Been typing Campo's fascia instead of Camper's fascia. Took a 1-point post-audit hit on it, too.  Shakes me up, what else have I been doing wrong for 30 years?  And will it knock me out of bonus territory next quarter... ...

I must admit, I never looked at FIESA, not only because it was depressing and humiliating, but its not the most user friendly site. My manager was constantly badgering me for not looking at it though and actually had me try to get on the other day when she called. How do other people get away with not looking at it? Just for "fun," I counted how many times I prevented a critical patient safety error today by catching the speaker saying the wrong age, gender, right vs. left, hyper versus hypo, you get the picture.  I quit counting at 8.  Never in my many years at Nuance have I made 8 CPSEs in 1 day.  So are we getting credit for the good work we do?  Not very likely. ...

Got a report back below 99%--Actually 98.7% with only 0.25 point reduction...for what?  Not typing DICTATION ENDS HERE on a report that only had part of the first sentence dictated....and I have to sign off that I reviewed this?  The report was sent to NHR for review with a note--INCOMPLETE DICTATION.  Okay, next time I type dictation ends here, but scoring this is ridiculous.  Why is this even an error--should have just been an  FYI--the report was never going to make i ...

I was having a good day, until I went into Fiesa...I have decided that one particular dictator--who speaks what he probably considers fluent English (He is American), is going to review for every report because he is the one I get poor scores on... I am constantly guessing if he said "and" or "in" or "on," and I missed a period....he backtracks, leaves words out, stumbles, and CANNOT pronounce even the simpelist of medications...let alone spell them, he spells them wrong too, hard to even under ...

The more they ding me for stupid stuff, the more mistakes I make. I know their goal is to prevent us from getting the quarterly bonus and I've never been able to get it anyway, so why try? I am always above 99%, but just below 99.5%. It is destroying my confidence and my ability to concentrate. And there is nothing in there as regards FIESA at all. Nada. Zip. Go ahead, do a search. It's not even in there. I have to wonder where it is written that we comply with FIESA and what the consequences are when we don't, except for emails and the shaming of the numbers of those who have not complied. I am really considering ignoring it completely. They never reverse any errors anymore, so why bother to waste the time, especially when it causes such an adverse effect on my mental heal ...

Are there no B's given on this?  I have checked it each day since I started (which was just a few days ago).  I either have A's or C's (with a percentage of 97 or 98%).  Today I typed 27 reports and got 100% accuracy on 25 of those and 2 that had C's but my overall grade was a C!!!  What am I missing.  Since I am technically still on 90 day "probation" it worries me.  I am typing well over the line count required and have made no "major" mistakes ...

FIESA. Just forget about it!! I see many postings to just let FIESA go. Well, to some of us, this means letting $3600 go per quarter, 14,000+ per year. I can work at a far less demanding job with no BS for that and that is what I will be doing. There are many whose "incentive" bonus is a large part of their income and it cannot be forgotten unless the finance company for our cars, the mortgage broker, the pharmacies and doctors, the kids, the lives of their families, are forgotten as well.
