so upset over FIESA - new person

So over this report card. I don't have to pend anything anymore unless of course it needs to be pended, but today due to low work got stuck on new acct which I had never typed and very first report could not understand what he said (only said 5 words); could not locate any prior reports to look at, went in to pend (totally different looking then what I was used to - tried to IM my QC person who didn't respond so sent email and eventually had to download and now I go in and they said that I sent it totally incorrectly etc. Any thoughts on what I should have done???

how to pend it, you had no choice but to send it, really. Question, though, does it say "pending" or "post audit."

The pending reports in FIESA do not count against your actual QA percentage. Only the post audit reports do.

Well, who doesn't make that kind of mistake on new - accounts? Specs never cover everything. Chill. :)

Thanks for the information. It did show pending not post audit. I never worked for a company where I literally have a report card at the end of the day. The way they do it doesn't seem consistent but right now I am just working on getting my account specs down

I've never dealt with anything more anxiety-inducing in my life. The QA people seem to be REALLY nitpicky over some things. I mean seriously, I think I do a pretty damn good job considering some of the idiot dictators we deal with on a daily basis, but get counted off for major verbiage error cos I transcribed "a grade 1 burn in the chest and thighs" and they heard "grade 1 burns on the chest and thighs??" REALLY? I've looked at it over and over, and to me it looks like they say the same damn thing. Especially when Dr. Grumblebutt-Mushmouth says it.

Not only that, I have noticed that every single Post Audit report that is in my FIESA is from a report that is less than 50 lines long. They seriously have to look for those, cos most of my reports are over 10 minutes in length and probably 80 to 100 lines. When you do the math at the end of a Post Audit report, the shorter your report is the worse your mistakes count against you.

I have a report with 52 lines on there and a 0.25 error. Now after you do their fuzzy math, (divide 0.25 by 55 and multiply by 100, then subtract that from 100), you get 99.55%. Now if I had a 100-line report, that would come out to be 99.75%. It may not be much on that small error, but if you make a big error, it REALLY makes a difference.

Say you have a report with 2 points in errors. If that report were 50 lines, at the end of the calculation string you would get 96%. Not good. But if that were a 100-line report, those same 2 points would give you a 98% in the end. Not eligible for bonuses, but at least you're not getting disciplined over it!

Since the majority of my reports are 100+ lines long, I think it only fair that my Post Audit reports be done on reports of that length, don't you? Or at least they could figure my actual average and find reports within that ballpark to do the reports.

Okay, first quarter FIESA reviewed about 80 reports of mine and I actually got my incentive. Now for this quarter, I am wavering on not getting my incentive with a 98.88 and for the past few weeks they have not reviewed a single one of my reports. I smell something fishy. our post-audit reports are randomly pulled. If you score high enough to get the bonus, your reports are gone through by the hatchet queens in India until they can find a report they can "audit" to bring you below 99%. If you are kicked back to 98.99%, they still meet their contract requirements to the client, and Nuance does not have to pay you a bonus. ...

I almost always get my critical errors on one particular doctor who I think I understand and then it turns out I miss something. I think there is a way to do a report on critical errors and see if I can trend the dictator but I can't figure out how. Does anybody know? Much as I dislike FIESA and all this QA, what I really hate is finding out I've been typing something WRONG for 30 years. The only thing I can say for myself is some QA decades ago filled it in for me and I didn't look it up. Been typing Campo's fascia instead of Camper's fascia. Took a 1-point post-audit hit on it, too. Shakes me up, what else have I been doing wrong for 30 years? And will it knock me out of bonus territory next quarter... ...

I must admit, I never looked at FIESA, not only because it was depressing and humiliating, but its not the most user friendly site. My manager was constantly badgering me for not looking at it though and actually had me try to get on the other day when she called. How do other people get away with not looking at it?
