As regards FIESA - I just had a look in the - employee manual

And there is nothing in there as regards FIESA at all. Nada. Zip. Go ahead, do a search. It's not even in there.

I have to wonder where it is written that we comply with FIESA and what the consequences are when we don't, except for emails and the shaming of the numbers of those who have not complied.

I am really considering ignoring it completely. They never reverse any errors anymore, so why bother to waste the time, especially when it causes such an adverse effect on my mental health and blood pressure?

I really like my TSM, but I think I might hold out for a while and see what happens.

After all, if you are making it a mandatory policy, shouldn't it be in the employee manual and should there not be consequences in there as to what happens if you don't accept FIESA?

Wondering if anyone out there has been harassed at all (besides the usual emails) if they refuse to comply with FIESA.

I use to check FIESA daily, then weekly, then never for over a year. Then I started checking daily again in case I did make an error that I would learn from. But now I'm back to never checking it because once my shift is over, I'm done. And no, I never hear anything from the multitude of TSMs I've had about checking FIESA.

Fiesa is management's tool for running people off they'd rather not have around, nothing else.

Except training new QCs.

Just x out of the "You have so and so many errors" box, take a quick peek at - it once a week or so.

Even then, I still only pull up Post Audit and the Post Audit M reports, not all their (usually incorrect) QC1 corrections.

We are just helping train a never-ending stream of new QC people anyway.

I wouldn't waste my time on the so-called constructive criticism FIESA is supposed to provide. There's so much conflicting information and so many different people deciding what's correct and what's not that there's no way the feedback can be consistent. And why would I waste my valuable time when I'm not getting paid for my trouble in the first place? It's bad enough we barely make a living wage! I've come to realize that FIESA is just like the education modules they offer to us...a way of getting us to make more money for them in the long run while being paid NOTHING to put forth the effort! I myself won't be one of their volunteer workers when I'm already making diddly aquat in the first place!

I would never use FIESA as a learning tool at all, it has no value as that to an experienced MT. Especially when you have an account that has very different specs. I must have had at least 3 or 4 instances of schooling them on the specs, which they DO reverse immediately (so it is worth at least glancing at the email to see what they got you on).

To be forced to accept the "error" when you know it means so much off your paycheck is cruel and unusual punishment, because you are accepting you deserve to make a considerable amount less because you made a booboo or two.

Say a cleaner making $9 an hour was found to have left a paper towel on the floor and his supervisor held it up to him and said, "Because of this you will now be paid $7.50 an hour for the next 2 weeks and if I find one next week the same thing. So sign this admission of guilt and accept that I am right and that your lower pay is what you deserve."

I am not sure cleaners would be required to sign that. I'm pretty sure the company would not be allowed to do that.

Yeah, sure, you can be demoted for poor work performance, but it takes time and consecutively bad work performance reviews and warnings, they wouldn't be able to dock you on the spot like that, that's Nuance's nice little trick they have pulled over on us, without so much as a boo from anyone, including us dummies accepting the errors every time and hence their right to lower our pay for them.

So really the worst thing is that they are not saying, "You're incompetent and need to get up to scratch." They're not even saying, "Because of this grievous error you made that affects patient safety, you will be on watch and need to improve your performance."

They quibble about the little details, but in the end they are only saying, "Ha ha, gotcha, give me your money because I need more and you deserve to have less. Sign this thing that says it's your fault and suck it."

I doubt there is any job in the country, lowest of the low or highest of the high, where the employer has the right to dock your pay for 2 weeks simply because they pay an army of nastiness to get our money off us. Bad business.

Let's say I'm a dishwasher and get paid per dish.

I wash dishes my entire shift but as I'm leaving my boss gives me more dishes to wash when I get home but I won't get paid for washing those, it's just practice to keep up my dishwashing skills. Would you do it?

That's what Fiesa and Enrich amounts to for me. I don't work for free.

If there is nothing in the official employee manual? Is compliance implied on this "communique" with FIESA-shaming?

I think at the very least we should have had to sign something that says we accept we agree with them cutting our pay when we send the acceptance of error message, and that we agree to always send that stupid acceptance of error message.

Perhaps it was couched in easier to swallow terms (deceptive in other words), of course, and I can remember nothing of the kind.

I would hope we would have more sense than to sign that, but when they make signing these things mandatory, perhaps it did happen that we all signed something to this effect?

Still, with so many people expressing that they never sign anything or even check it, it can't be all that official.

I always check FIESA, last least 3 times weekly so I can request reversal.

If they are going to eat up my time, I'm going to eat up theirs.

Every blue moon I get a reversal.

I know we complain and complain about this on here and we fight and argue with the TLs about this...I was marked off half a point for EACH blank that I left on a dictation that the tape cut out. The only explanation from QA was that "it was clearly understood". I am just wondering how it was clearly understood. Okay, first quarter FIESA reviewed about 80 reports of mine and I actually got my incentive. Now for this quarter, I am wavering on not getting my incentive with a 98.88 and for the past few weeks they have not reviewed a single one of my reports. I smell something fishy. our post-audit reports are randomly pulled. If you score high enough to get the bonus, your reports are gone through by the hatchet queens in India until they can find a report they can "audit" to bring you below 99%. If you are kicked back to 98.99%, they still meet their contract requirements to the client, and Nuance does not have to pay you a bonus. ...

I almost always get my critical errors on one particular doctor who I think I understand and then it turns out I miss something. I think there is a way to do a report on critical errors and see if I can trend the dictator but I can't figure out how. Does anybody know? And before you tell me to ask my TSM I did but as usual never got an answer. ...

Much as I dislike FIESA and all this QA, what I really hate is finding out I've been typing something WRONG for 30 years. The only thing I can say for myself is some QA decades ago filled it in for me and I didn't look it up. Been typing Campo's fascia instead of Camper's fascia. Took a 1-point post-audit hit on it, too. Shakes me up, what else have I been doing wrong for 30 years? And will it knock me out of bonus territory next quarter... ...

I must admit, I never looked at FIESA, not only because it was depressing and humiliating, but its not the most user friendly site. My manager was constantly badgering me for not looking at it though and actually had me try to get on the other day when she called. How do other people get away with not looking at it? I was having a good day, until I went into Fiesa...I have decided that one particular dictator--who speaks what he probably considers fluent English (He is American), is going to review for every report because he is the one I get poor scores on... I am constantly guessing if he said "and" or "in" or "on," and I missed a period....he backtracks, leaves words out, stumbles, and CANNOT pronounce even the simpelist of medications...let alone spell them, he spells them wrong too, hard to even under ...

Are there no B's given on this? I have checked it each day since I started (which was just a few days ago). I either have A's or C's (with a percentage of 97 or 98%). Today I typed 27 reports and got 100% accuracy on 25 of those and 2 that had C's but my overall grade was a C!!! What am I missing. Since I am technically still on 90 day "probation" it worries me. I am typing well over the line count required and have made no "major" mistakes ...

FIESA. Just forget about it!! I see many postings to just let FIESA go. Well, to some of us, this means letting $3600 go per quarter, 14,000+ per year. I can work at a far less demanding job with no BS for that and that is what I will be doing. So sick of the comments left in the FIESA - I do NOT leave random blanks and always take the time to try and research it in the data base by either looking up patient or physician depending on what I am looking for and then when I cannot find it I leave a blank and then at end of day to see their remark that it WAS EASILY found is truly an insult and a smack in the face. Does anyone know if there is a list somewhere of the types of errors that we are supposed to be marked off for? I got marked off on a report for adding parentheses to a parenthetical statement because the parentheses were not dictated. Are we really supposed to be marked off for this? Does anyone know how the company post-audit and regular QC/QA go about choosing the reports that are checked? Is there a quota per MT that is checked? Are only the ones that are not right added in on post-audit, or do they come to them automatically, not by their choice? To give an example. For Oct 1st through Dec 31st, I was checked total of 99 reports with 39 being post-audit. Now in January 1st through today, have already had 24 post-audits! Can som ...
