Does anyone else hate the fact - that our post audit is done in India?

It bugs me that my post audits are done in India. Several things have come back that I KNOW I wouldn't have left in the report - yet they get marked off. So very frustrating to me- and even more frustrating that this will NOT change.... ugh, I want OUT of this place

I wonder if all the audits are done over there - Not sure how to verify this

When I see my audits, there is always an English name like Pam Smith or Sharon Carpenter. Not an Indian name for sure. However, maybe they change their names to avoid having to put Ramashesana Samahandahandanan in there. Or maybe it's like when you call Citibank or the cable company and someone with a thick Indian accent says, "Hello, my name is William, how can I be helping to you?" Uh,yeah right, "William'...whatever.....

For all the MTs who say our work is audited in Indian, can I ask how you know this for sure? I've asked my TSM and she has said that no work is audited over there.

You will have only people who live in the US working on the account. When I was there, they had 1 account like that. This was about 3 years ago. The IDs attached to your jobs in FIESA will have US in the ID number, if they are from the US. If they are from India, it will not say US. That's how you can tell.

As I said, I worked there about 3 years ago. It appears they are now using names in FIESA. Disregard that part of my message. However, your TSM is probably not telling you the truth. When I worked there, my TM told me that yes indeed the reports were edited in India. The company started out as an India-based company, then merged, and probably merged again, etc. The company was called Focus Infomatics. See link.

The head of US QA, though, was let go in the last month or so and someone else is now the head of US QA. I only know this for a fact because I had one file that was QA'd by someone in her department. Like I said, though, it was just one single file since since the beginning of December. Yes, I am on the ambulatory side, and yes, so was the head QA person who was recently let go.

I can sometimes remember changing these stupid SR errors and lo and behold, QA finds them still there. I work on Edit Script.

You're not the only one. More than once I've fixed errors, only to have them come back to haunt me in FIESA. How do you reckon that happens? An escription glitch? Some sort of cyberbrownie mischief?

Yes,I believe QAs have plenty of tricks under their sleeves. When I looked at some mistakes in my reports, I have the gut feelings that I left a blank where QA puts a wrong word and mark it a critical error. And what their math formula? I got 1 point deduction on a report and I end up getting 94%. So, 100-1= 94.

I informed them of an error regarding a medication output by ASR,something sometimes said, but was not dictated. I was told this was programmed into the software, and they could not (i.e. would not) correct that. I have accused the software (programmers) of putting in often-said output rather than what was actually dictated which they have previously denied. MY VENT TODAY: I hate QA, I hate my job. My pay is HALF of what it was 15 years ago and I get picked and PICKED AND HOUNDED to death on meaningless garbage in a report. I type a lot of crap, but just had the worst doc I think I ever had. Had 11 QA markers so I sent it to QA thinking they might actually LIKE getting some work since they are about to be history. Anyways, this bi*ch marked 2 CRITICAL ERRORS and did an audit on it (which was still 96.5% in spite of everything I am glad to say). QA you wonder why we have such a bad attitude? I spend a lot of time typing for a huge university hospital clinic with no ADT. Have to type in all patient information. Almost every report is a LETTER. Referring physician has to be typed into the ADT. Then the letter recipient information has to be typed in and lo and behold have to re-type it into the cc list for the doc to get a copy of the letter. I wonder why I can't run a decent line count?
