a report with poor sound quality and one of the worst dictators I have ever come across in my 15 years as an MT. She was ESL (of course though they aren't all bad), and she kept changing her mind, talking to other people around here, dictating at the speed of light....you get it.....So, apparently I misheard her say "hemoglobin 7" instead of 11. As you all know, that is a critical error. And I guess it IS---However, in the case where the dictator speaks CLEARLY I could see why I might be "docked" or "punished" or whatever (actually I still can't) BUT....in this case it is just ROTTEN. So I had other minor errors not to mention many blanks and had to send to QC. So me, the MT, get punished, not the stinking dictator, right? What in the H, E, double hockey sticks is WRONG here. It should be....the dictator must READ their reports before signing...if there is something wrong, send it back for correction (and also learn how to DICTATE clearly) and that is that. Cutting the person's pay who misheard your the muffled ramblings is just evil and messed up. Anyway, it is what it is. I gotta get outta here.
By the way, my score was 92%, failing of course. So in FIESA (which of COURSE this report would be QA'd -- I KNEW it would be. This one and ONE other one, which I did pass, but too bad, still below 99% for the week, as they probably won't QA anymore reports. Why would they do THAT?
I noticed though that it said "QC1" --- is this a post audit check? Aren't those the only ones that matter as far as our pay, or does anything that show up in FIESA counted? I hope this one isn't!!!
