A community of 30,000 US Transcriptionist serving Medical Transcription Industry
I previously worked for a MTSO whose main focus was on buying out every company possible. I had enough of the micromanagement and pay cuts, low work, no work, etc. so I just walked away after giving notice. I had been looking for work daily, applying, sending resumes with no luck. Then I saw at the local mall where many seasonal positions to work in the stores were available. I applied having no customer service skills, but I got the job. My foot is now in the door! I am hoping it will lead to a full time job, but if not I am working on "plan B" for after the season is over. So far I just LOVE LOVE LOVE being out in the work force working with coworkers again, meeting people, helping people and doing something different that doesnt involve sitting in a chair by yourself all day typing and breaking your neck. This worked out perfectly for me. I consider myself out of medical transcription for good, as it is not going to get any better. Just thought maybe others who are dying to get out could try this as well and be free from the chains to your desks! Good luck!
