A while back I was trying to think of some things to increase my production, so I sat down with paper and pencil and made a list of the biggest things that were slowing me down. At the top of the list were three main things: Nine different accounts with nine totally different CPs, ESLs, and ASR. I decided to work on the CPs first. This one little trick has actually DOUBLED my production over the last two months. My thought was that maybe if I had all the CPs for all my accounts somehow condensed onto one or two pieces of paper, that would save me the time of pushing the F5 key and reading over a CP every single time I got a report. So I organized all the different CPs on two pieces of paper and taped them to the wall in front of my workstation, right in front of my face. This is what they look like:
Paper #1:
ROS
Paragraph capitolized subheadings - account #1, account #2, account #3
Stacked left capitolized subheadings - account #4, account #5, account #6
Stacked left mixed subheadings - account #7, account #8, account #9
Repeat the same with PE and tape it to your wall.
Paper #2:
Account #1 - the patient, mm/dd/yyyy, ALLERGIES. Medications, medications, etc. No q.h.s. only nightly or at bedtime.
Account #2 - patient name, April 27, 2010, allergies. 1. Medications. 2. Medications. Etc.
Account #3 - the patient, April 27, 2010, ALLERGIES. No cc, only mL.
1. Medications.
2. Medications.
Etc.
I just went through the main differences and listed them on the paper and taped it to my wall. As of now, I only have to use the F5 key MAYBE once a day most of the time. Hope this helps someone.
