I guess we all know where this is going to go. I've always done OK with the 99.6% but just barely. 99.7% is definitely pushing it ... I might be in trouble. :(

What exactly does "acquisitions" do? And what is a Quality Improvement Initiative?

Acquisitions is a term used for companies that were bought by MM. - my team is not north, south, east, west, but acquisitions... We don't use fluency yet - still on our platforms. The Quality Improvement Initiative is "What we are doing is scoring our overall accuracy metrics as a team from prior to undertaking the initiative. Then we will break you all up into groups so we can stagger who is doing the course each week over the next couple of weeks. These courses should take no more than an hour and a half to complete. You will be paid for this time as continuing education."

Why don't they just raise it 100%? Why mess around with these percents they post. 99.7% is pretty close to 100%, so why not just do that and then they can get rid of everyone who can't cut it. This company is beneath contempt. How anyone can work for them, even in India is beyond me. I would find something, anything to get away from MM and that is exactly what I did. MTs are the problem here, not the companies; they are getting away with MT murder and laughing all the way to the bank, treating everyone like dirt. Again, have some guts and get out, leave them high and dry. There isn't one thing that could keep me at a place like this, I don't care if I had been at it for 20 years and I know there are MTs and MMEs out there who are hanging on by a thread just for that reason alone.

You NEVER KNOW what someone else's circumstances are so you should check your judgment. Like the poster above me, we all have our own personal reasons for staying that you don't know anything about. Until you understand the "big picture" of someone's situation you might try to support the people here with love and understanding and try faking a little compassion instead of barking at us with self-righteous judgment.

since circumstances vary so much. I was stuck with MQ/MM due to being on satellite and no access to DSL or cable. Only other good company I knew of that also accepted satellite was purchased by MQ/MM. Don't recall which there were at the time of purchase a few years ago.

You will still fail an audit with just 2 punctuation errors which is ridiculous.
Although, I do not remember having quarterly limits for each error type in the past.
Since being transferred a few months ago to my current group, I have "failed" nearly every audit after only failing 1 audit in the 7 years I have been here. I haven't been meeting production requirements anymore either since being transferred to this group. For the first time in years, I had makeup pay. Later in the week, I am scheduled for my production mentoring. LOL The only way my production will improve is for ASR to improve.
Can't wait until I get out of here!

The weight of punctuation is 0.25 of a point. Just a couple of those will fail an audit.

some transcriptionists into special dictator and/or work type groups so they get repetitive work which allows them to meet and exceed production rates, while others get shifted around, new hospitals, new dictators and expected to meet production rates. A horrible way to treat anyone.

There's no way to have to fly through this horrible ASR all day long to try to make minimum wage and not make a "typo." The industry standard is, was, and always has been 98%. I said the same thing to my husband this morning when we got the email that it was up to 99.7%. Later in the day I told him that around the corner they'll want 101.5% quality and expect us to be able to pull that trick out of our hat.

New Quality Index Vs Old Quality Score Oct 18, 2014I ran an error report for all reports, all accounts on my platform for this quarter, 10/1 - 10/18. So far the Quality Index is 84% vs Quality Score 99.18%. Didn't they advertise this new error scoring as working out in our favor? Doesn't look like it to me.

From Below, About 99% Quality May 22, 2011slowly sinking here because my quality has always been 98-100 quality, years and years. Now, however, I am expected to maintain 99% quality, on a hideously difficult account, but I must also maintain my LPH.
In other words, I have to listen to reports on the fastest speed I can to get my LPH yet maintain some form of quality. The reports go to QA who in turn listen at the slowest possible speed to give errors for not including 'the' and mind you this cannot even be heard unless you ...
DQS 7 Quality Jun 13, 2012What is everyone's opinion about the new speech engine? I'm not talking about the user side....I mean the quality of it's speech recognition. I thought it was supposed to be so much better, but I'm finding it to be terrible. There are times when it leaves out 3 and 4 words and puts in words that are not even close (i.e., family history when the doc clearly says social history)! That, and the sound quality SUCKS!

Quality Audits-sm May 02, 2011Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen lately. I received a quality audit on 4/25 on my audit, which I passed at 98.3% (had one icky one in there). Then on 4/29 got another email of an audit of 5 reports, did not give a total score, but they were all pretty darn good (3 at 100%, 1 at 98, 1 at 98.75). Quality And Quantity, Is It Possible? Apr 28, 2013I just got a warning for my LPH being too low, and possible termination if I don't increase them right away. I was taking time to double check my reports and making sure all blanks were filled in, rarely had blanks. With the threat of termination, I have been trying to focus more on quantity. Now I have been going through each report once and hit send. I have seen example reports from MTs who have great LPH, but I have seen the minor mistakes that come with them too.
