Oh wait, I just woke up and smelled the coffee. What a great dream.

Now back to the reality of this nightmare.

I absolutely despise those dictators with low voices and/or rumbling voices. I get so tense listening to them, my back muscles and jaw muscles tighten up. I think both types are just lazy and don't want to project their voices clearly. It's easier for them to sit back and barely open their mouths.

I think the worst are the higher-pitched whispery women who choose to dictate around a bunch of loud talkers. They whisper so no one around them can hear the dictation but guess what, I can't hear them either! I can clearly hear the conversation around them, and could easily transcribe that!

oh yes and make sure you go into the bathroom where the tiles are echoing - clanging pots in kitchen too

and be sure and find a spot right next to wherever they wash the metal utensils pots out in steel sinks, and chat to each other very loudly, what are they thinking? One dictator I had last week had to literally stop at one point it was so loud and I am sure she shifted her chair (stool? ) to be some place else.

I was getting an account yesterday morning that was so easy (no ESLs, good audio, speaking clearly and at a normal pace). But of course, just helping out, apparently, because they were behind. I am so jealous that some people get to do this account all the time. Then a couple hours later, I started getting my usual accounts again and slowly my line count began to go back down. Now I know what accounts the people who are happy with MModal are working on. :(

I have over 15 years as an MT. I think I'm pretty darn good after all these years. Perfect? No. But darn good. I keep seeing this commercial on TV for insurance where the girl says "insurance companies - news flash. Nobody's perfect." I can't help but think I hope someone from Nuance is watching, preferably those idiots who mark off for dumb picky BS when doing QA. Hello all! I just received an IC offer from Lee Perfect. I have checked the archives and cannot find any postings more recent than 2010. Anyone currently work for or recently worked for them in the past? Pros, cons? I just recently lost a great cardiology account with another company thanks to EMR, and I am hopeful to find a company that makes me as happy as that one did. just shows which people are getting the gravy work while I'm drowning in the muck. The people sharing the nightmare accounts I'm on will NEVER be able to have zero blanks or even a perfect score considering the putrid garbage we're trying to hear and interpret, while obviously there's a nice little list of lucky people getting things they can hear & I'm sure able to make a lot more money as well. So glad they decided to rub that in to the rest of us! ...

In Word Perfect, to count characters, you click on properties, word count, and then do you just add up the top two things, Characters and Words, taking that total and dividing by 65? I am an MTSO and see the WMX/Nuance merger as an opportunity to improve employee relations. Until the last few months, it seemed the Webmedx could do no wrong.
