Hello all! I just received an IC offer from Lee Perfect. I have checked the archives and cannot find any postings more recent than 2010. Anyone currently work for or recently worked for them in the past? Pros, cons? I just recently lost a great cardiology account with another company thanks to EMR, and I am hopeful to find a company that makes me as happy as that one did. I used to work for Transcend, so I'm leery of big MTSOs. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :)

As far as I know they've not actually not paid, but I know it will be a big guess as to when you get paid, weeks, months late.

Are you aware of qualified text in Emdat? Canned text - that pays lower than reg. lines. SM

Lee Perfect does not use qualified text in Emdat, so whatever you type you get paid for.

Probably a good idea for new hires to double check - line counts just to be sure. nm

I also was just going to post the same question as I received an email. Do you know what the starting cpl is yet? I am looking for a smaller company with small pool of doctors so need more info. If I find anything out I will let you know.

7cpl during 100% QA, then 7.5 to 8cpl after.

I was told the same thing. Now, waiting to hear back. Some posts say they pay late but those are old posts.

I have worked with LP for over 20 years. Though not everything is "perfec" honestly from what I have seen and heard they are better than most. Payment is consistent but she pays NET 30-45. Never had an issue with not getting paid. Never run out of work either!

I can handle getting paid 30-45 days so long as I know it is coming. Luckily I only do this part-time and don't need work to pay the bulk of my household bills. With that being said, I do think I deserve what I earn and want to be paid on time. Work is work, whether part-time or full-time. I emailed the person back at Lee Perfect. I await her response.

Sandy, do you know if doctors are assigned or do you draw from a pool? How many docs would one person typically transcribe for? Is pay direct deposit? Thanks for any info.

It depends on the account. Some are single doc accounts all the way up to large hospital accounts, so it varies. I have some of each. No direct deposit, she pays via mail by check. Obviously that is a down side, but all in all, after 20+ years I am still here! I am a single mom and have supported us with this, with a little supplemental "freelancing" on the side. Always seems to be a ton of work. Good luck!

I just received a response saying she will call me either today or tomorrow. I let her know I'm not very familiar with EMDAT, but that I should be able to catch on pretty quickly. I saw there are training files to practice on once InScribe is loaded on the computer, so I may try that once I have it loaded so I can see what it is like. Hopefully this pans out.

Good for you. Emdat is super easy to learn. You will like it cause you don't need a foot pedal and can just assign hot keys. You just log in and download the files and type right within the program.

I personally use a footpedal, but she is right, you can use the "F" keys as "hot keys".

If you google home medical transcription (or different variations thereof) there are different websites that have different places to work that arent't the big MTSOs. If you go to www.leeperfect.com, there is a spot to do contact, and it says to email your resume. I emailed the resume two weeks ago and I got a response back today.

She hires only as needed, so that is why it was 2 weeks I am sure. She doesn't hire a bunch and then run out of work. If anything, I most of the time have too much work....

I have over 15 years as an MT. I think I'm pretty darn good after all these years. Perfect? No. But darn good. I keep seeing this commercial on TV for insurance where the girl says "insurance companies - news flash. Nobody's perfect." I can't help but think I hope someone from Nuance is watching, preferably those idiots who mark off for dumb picky BS when doing QA. just shows which people are getting the gravy work while I'm drowning in the muck. The people sharing the nightmare accounts I'm on will NEVER be able to have zero blanks or even a perfect score considering the putrid garbage we're trying to hear and interpret, while obviously there's a nice little list of lucky people getting things they can hear & I'm sure able to make a lot more money as well. In Word Perfect, to count characters, you click on properties, word count, and then do you just add up the top two things, Characters and Words, taking that total and dividing by 65?
