Totally out of work in North Region - Raging MT

This is BS and no, it's not because of MLK Day, either!

It most certainly is because of MLK Day - to think otherwise is ridiculous.

There is always plenty of work on Monday in the North Region. I work 4 hours on Mondays and can usually do 2000 or more lines. Today of course, I'm scraping for work like everyone else.

How is that even possible? On a GOOD day, I am lucky to get 250 lph.

Yes, I do. I only work 4 hours on Mondays and there are tons of OPs, fewer MTs working, and I can knock the work out quickly and get out of here. Other days of the week, I only do between 350-400 an hour.

People trying to make a buck and not caring what the final report looks like. And dont try to tell me you pass your audits at 100%. I know have of this company does not even perform audits and I am certain anyone claiming to do that many lines on DocQscribe is either lying or not editing.

My work has always been above 99% accuracy. I'm not a - minimal worker. I do my best always

Excuse me for stating this. Good for you, but thanks for making the rest of us who are struggling feel even worse that we are making no where near 500 lines. Please share with us your success on doing this.

I can only do this on Monday, when I only work 4 hours. There is a lot of work on Monday, lots of OPs, and fewer MTs. I have always been fast, did Data Entry as a much younger person and was always the fastest and most accurate. It just happens to be one of my talents I guess. When there is a lot of work, I just hunker down, stay focused, and pump the work out as fast as I accurately can so I can get more work while the work is there.

As I mentioned in a post below, better ASR output might be related to only tier 3 MTs doing the work. I wish I would get OP reports for my shift.

I'm being paid for VBC only which takes me down. If I were being paid for spaces and formatting, I probaby would do straight typing at about 300 plus and would easily edit over 500. It helps that I read at almost 500 words per minute (I was tested once), have a very good platform and an extremely good text expander with a very good list, and I am very familiar with most of the dictators on my accounts.

As someone else has said, it depends on many things, but it can be done.

I find that some MT/ME employees like to not truthfully state their line counts. Don't know how you can average 500. I jump from account to account and need to frequently look up the client profile so as not to make mistakes. I agree that quality could be suspect when doing VR. It is much slower to do VR.

To get 500 lph, you would have to do about 50 minutes dictation. - dnr

You must have a lot of standard dictation to insert or have pristine output. To listen to 50 minutes in 1 hour, that leaves only 10 minutes for ADT and formatting. Yesterday, I timed how long it took me to format an H&P, and it was 5 minutes. I had to insert most of the headings and, the biggest time consumer, formatting the ROS and PE.

I prefer doing OP reports as there is a minimum amount of formatting and the quality of the output is much better. I was noticing this the other day and wondering if it had anything to with only tier 3 MTs doing the work.

I'm north region; I had work pretty steady all day. I had a 15 minute period where no jobs came in and I was just about ready to "call it a day" when lo and behold a job did come in and then I was consistently busy the rest of the day. It happened late morning my time.

Always work Saturday morning, rarely have NJA but beginning to think it's going to be a regular thing now. This is my 3rd NJA this week. I feel sorry for those that get NJA every day. On your average day, 5000! Now, 70. I get that its a holiday, but I have run out for 3 weeks now. TSM said they over-hired and work went to India.. well, then get rid of the new hires already. This is ridiculous. Why would they hire more when they planned to ship more work overseas? Is this to train the new hires becuase they make so much less than some of us who have been here awhile? North region went from 4 accounts, to being tried on this POD Pilot Program and put on at least 10 more accounts, with a few having several divisions. After 1st week, workload fell way behind, over 1400 reports by this past Friday. Around 4 p.m. Friday, we were offered OT plus an extra $10/h for Fri, Sat & Sun, but have to work at least 3 hours OT each day.
