If you get NJA on a very regular basis, reply with what state you are in. Apparently, some states require pay for downtime, CA I believe being one of them. I'm not sure of the other states. Obviously, work can be routed to or away from us at will, and I have a feeling they are choosing MTs from the states that mandate downtime pay over states that don't.

I get the typical 15 minutes of minimum wage because we have to wait that 15 minutes, but that is it and I get NJA daily!

I think it is for some other reason, higher paid people, maybe full timers so they dont have to pay insurance? I dont know....

Tx. No pay for down time, 15 mins. NJA just about every day since 2 primaries went "global" per CCM a week ago.

FT MT. Set hours. Employee status with full benefits.

No lines = no pay. NJA daily.

Paid "downtime" only 1 hour approved for meetings, not paid for NJA since it's "out of our hands if you have no work"

Make up NJA time on your own if you're not making line count.

If you work 5 days a week, thats an hour and 15 minutes you don't have to make up, plus minimum wage for that time.

I will make up the time or as a last resort use my PTO but there is no way I am working for minimum wage. I have never submitted a request for my 15 minutes and never will. I make more money working or using PTO because minimum wage is so low in my state. Plus, when I get NJA I punch out immediately and wait for the jobs to roll in and then punch back in. I will not give the Q the satisfaction of paying me $1.50 for 15 minutes instead of the real money they owe me when I actually have work. Go ahead and flame away but honestly if I wanted to work for minimum wage there are plenty of jobs out there.

The policy for downtime pay is so convoluted and restrictive it's not even worth requesting it. It's something like they only have to provide you with HALF your hours. If you work more than 4 and you are FT, no downtime pay. If you work 3 hours and get NJA, you get 1 hour downtime pay only. That's if I understand it correctly. It's a bunch of BULL.

I don't believe they are routing work to CA MTs....or I'd be getting my hours in. I HAVE always been able in the past, but just recently have been getting NJA left and right on a DAILY basis. Sometimes I can manage to get my hours in, sometimes not. I worry constantly that I may lose my medical benefits--another question I asked my CCM but she had no answer.

When you fill out your QCare ticket, add in the message section, "Please add 15 minutes of NJA downtime as per company policy" and then in Schedule Source, go in under timesheets and and click on the time that you punched out for that day, open it up and write message to CCM, "Please add 15 minutes of NJA downtime per company policy" and then click "alert the manager" box.

They absolutely have to pay you this and you do not have to make up those 15 minutes of time during that week.

They make us wait the 15 minutes per policy, so they have to pay us minimum wage. The CCMs just dont want to do the work to add it in.

I would like honest answers. Who will be writing an essay? I, for one, will not be for so many reasons I can't even state them all, but you all know them well. I think it will help us all to know where we stand. Maybe put a range of experience first, like 1-5 years, 6-10 years, 11-15 and 15+ and then your Regular/SR rate (not including any eve or weekend differentials). I'll start: 11-15 years of experience. 0.0825 regular/ 0.0465 SR. For me, this is a pay cut recently. I was working at a different company until recently, making .09 regular and .05. Precyse now requires 240 lines for the voice recognition crap and 160 for the straight transcription crap and if you don't meet those requirements you are history. There are times I do enjoy the work. However, I have a few failed audits, performance management for lines, and NJA, so lately not too thrilled. I just wish it would get better. Sometimes I too would like to quit, but just keep plugging along. For me, at least it is some income adding to the pot, and that is a blessing. I am just curious. About what percentage of lists that appear in your reports numbered, as in past medical history or medications, comes out correctly? I am guessing that with medications specifically, which I think it does a horrid job at, about 2 or 3 times a day out of about 20 reports, the list will come out correctly.
