Super annoyed with email from supervisor - from north region

Is anyone else even just a little angered with the email from the CCM about the weekly statistics?
The part that really steams my broccoli is "This is no different than if you were to get a quarterly review or yearly review with your pros and cons listed and where improvements need to be made."
Well.... when the CCM and QA lead get quarterly reviews, dont they get RAISES? That is how the rest of the world works! RAISES. My teen son works at Taco Bell and he just got his 6 month review on his work performance and GOT A RAISE based on his performance! No, they did not monitor how many footsteps he took to get to the soda machine and back to the customer. No, they did not monitor how many seconds it took to get the money from the customer, get it counted and get it in the drawer. No, they did not give him 15 shortcuts to remember that would increase the speed of wiping the tables by 3.5 seconds.
I am so appaled by this garbage. I get that they want to monitor inactive time because I am sure there are some that abuse this. However, to monitor our keystroke combinations and grade us on them? I got a 5 on a keystroke I dont even use! That whole Ctrol G thing does not work as a "shortcut" when you have to arrow out as soon as you start. There are too many darn mistakes with ASR in every line to make this productive! Dont they get that? Then to monitor me and give me a score on using it? Be Serious!
Then to throw in the comment that "this is not meant to make you feel that your every move is being watched." That is exactly what they are doing! And then they blame us for not using the right keystrokes, not blame the damn programmers of ASR or blame the poor sound quality for why I have to listen to the same sentence 15 times and still cannot make out the words!
I dont find it appropriate to try and smooth over how intrusive this really is when they have NO IDEA . Maybe if they never received a raise on their ACTUAL WORK performed and if they were monitored for every single thing they do (and dont do), and if they were held to the precise standards we are under impossible conditions, then maybe they could relate.

I am a good transcriptionist, always worked hard, did not abuse my virtual working environment, always passed audits, but still I felt like I was being watched all the time like a 2 year old. Their little production reports and E-mails took away every bit of drive to even try. I always swore I would be the last one leaving MQ/MModal; however, their tactics worked, and I finally found something else and am gone. I, too, made the above-average 10/6 cpl. I believe we are the ones being most targeted by these horrific management tactics in the hopes they can make us quit. So I guess they won. Sad day.

I think they misconstrue their increased profit with implementation of these devices, instead of the truth in the increased profit is really because of the platform stealing lines, the higher waged employees leaving, the level one MTs doing with the work of a level three at a reduced rate, etc.
Think of how many more millions they would make if the took it back to the basics!

[ In Reply To ..]These emails are to be used as guidelines to help you be more productive. They aren't meant to be reprimands. I'm sure they are computer generated and I doubt they are being used to "spy" on anyone. Geez people get a grip. I don't even read the stupid things. None of the information in them is going to help me be any more productive than the steps I take on my own to do so.

[ In Reply To ..]I don't pay attention to them either, as they do nothing to fix the bad dictators, sound quality, etc. and no incentives or raises. If I want to get up and stretch my legs, answer the phone, eat, take meds or just a headache break, I'm going to do it. That's the advantage of working at home. I do read them, but I'm always above the average anyway, so...I just don't see why they can't give the ones that are doing well more money....that's why none of us do more than expected, no incentive. Not even a thank you or kind word of how well we are doing...
But the point is, where's the raise? - downtime

The TSM called me and asked me to help out on an account that was way behind in TAT. I agreed to give it a try for at least a couple hours to sort of break it in. Well - I was not only greeted with people dictating that I'm not even sure were speaking English for every report I tried, then QC1 had the nerve to send me major quality alerts for the handful of reports I did. Anybody else get annoyed at docs who put every job they dictate in as a priority? I mean, everything they dictate, from a 2-month-old death summary to a 3-week-old T&A. I really hate the ones that are so old that the billing numbers have been erased from system. I'm guessing they were threatened with their license being pulled to get their work caught up. I've already been through school with Andrews and am getting ready to start the transition ICD-10 course, and I honestly don't mean to be a jerk about M modal. I do feel badly for the MTs there, but I don't see why all the MM coding talk couldn't have just stayed with the MM side of the board. Anyone else feel the same? ...

I find medical terminology quite fascinating and enjoy learning about the body and such. I found a t.v. series where they do autopsies on real humans while discussing the functions of the body, various ailments, numerous terms, revelations of their findings, and a whole lot more. They were very respectful and adult about all of it, and I learned a lot. Even if I did know about something, they helped explain it in a way that helped me understand it better. It seems lately I have had a lot of corrections where they are removing what I have typed and marking as [UNCLEAR]. I am not getting dinged, but the reason this is bothering me so much is because they are doctors I am familiar with and know what they say. Express Scribe Load Plays Super-fast

I recently downloaded the free version of Express Scribe. The "Welcome" message plays with no problem, but any file that I try to load plays super-fast. I am pretty sure I checked all the settings, such as F10 (normal play back speed) and the speed control in the bottom right hand corner. If anyone can help with this I would appreciate it.
