Schedule Swap Request: When you place a Schedule Swap Request, I will either approve or deny this request, depending on our coverage. You will be more likely to get this approved rather than a Leave Request, because the use of this function means that you will be making up your hours. After the approval of this request, you would then go to the swap board and pick up shifts to make up your hours.

a high-priced scheduler if we have to basically schedule our own makeup times, etc. I've never in my life worked for a company that did this. Well, I guess I just won't be making any of my time up because I'm not going to jump through hoops begging a control freak to approve me helping them out by making up the time when they're already begging for OT rather than just taking off. Now, I'll just take the time off. Ever since all this BS with the scheduler people started, it has been nothing but a morale-killing pain in the butt with pointless forced schedule changes, etc. As soon as I find a part-time job with daytime hours, I'm outta here. I'm not even picky about platforms, benes, pay, anything anymore. I have had enough of the condescending micromanagement bullying.

I have had 5+ PTO requests denied since the beginning of the year. I have given them 2 months notice, a months notice, etc., and I ALWAYS get them denied. I have PTO to use, but they won't let me take it. I've been job hunting, but am scared to death to "go out into the world" after working at home for the past 15 years.

You need to contact the Benefits team. I would ask them to look into the situation. I would point blank ask why you are being denied your right to use your PTO/excused absences and tell them who your TSA is and ask them to contact her and tell them why every single request has been denied on your part. Ask them how you are supposed to be able to use it by the end of the year if you are not able to use it at all. Have you e-mailed her and asked her why. Has she given you actual reasons you have been denied? Escalate the situation, and then cc: the TSA so she knows you blew her in.
