I've run out of work twice tonight. Tried to go to day shift, but boss said the day shift kept running out of work so I would be better of staying on nights.

NJA as soon as I signed on this morning. Kind of hard to earn a bonus if there is no work.

By the time anyone hits their target there is no work or it is all cesspool work. Q gets to tout that they offer bonuses and incentives but the only ones who earn anything are the CCMs because their accounts stay caught up. The 3 cent thing is a joke and more and more MTs are wising up.

Maybe this is your opportunity to see what is going on with NJA, a - chance to voice your dismay. nm

I have talked to my CCM at length about running out of work and my fears. He is very understanding and sympathetic, but he has no answers. He said it is a combination of low volume and clients who have left us, etc. At least I now have a CCM who will acknowledge that it is a real problem and is very scary for us. My prior one had a million excuses ranging from spring break, doctor on vacation, overstaffed, blah, blah, blah.

I work for the West, and my CCM is truly wonderful. She does what she has to do to ensure that our TAT is covered and moves MTs to other regions if they cannot adjust their schedules to accommodate account needs. During the transition with new accounts and MTs being brought on board, there were NJA for a short period of time, but she has since moved things around and workflow is good...plenty of work and remaining within TAT. Of note, the hospitals I transcribe for have very difficult dictators and I am a tier 3, so that may explain why we tend to have good workflow. I honestly don't mind MQ, find it is as good as any other MTSO out there, my only beef is their rate for VR...too low...needs to be about 2 cents more per line. I had thought about going to SoftScript as they do not offshore and are stricly transcription (I do not care for VR...I prefer straight transcription) but I have heard negatives about SoftScript so think I probably do best to stay put. Anyway, just thought I'd voice my opinion, and I think a lot of the NJA has to do with one's CCM.

moving things around to keep TAT as well as keep everyone working. When our accounts get low (rare), we automatically get other accounts in the region because she keeps on top of backlog and adds accounts when nescessary before NJA can happen. I think a lot of CCMs are not doing their job of keeping their people working and that is why so many see NJA. I also think that some do not want to work on unfamiliar accounts judging by what I see on here with people complaining about getting unfamiliar accounts and so they see NJA all the time.

Voice my dismay to who? Anyone higher than an MT - does not care. nm

my line count, glug, glug down the crapper. Have gone over the tutorials about a dozen times, but there are sooo many changes, the main one being in the appearance of the screen. Tomorrow I am starting a new job, not just a job, but a career. I'm interviewing tomorrow morning with Amphion. Even after all of these years in the MT business, I admit that while I'm excited, I'm also a bit nervous. Has anyone else interviewed with Amphion recently and can clue me in on what to expect? I was told the interview process would take about 30 minutes but no other details. I turned in my resignation 2 weeks ago and my last day is tomorrow. No more nagging about line counts and MUP when they can't even pay me minimum wage (although mine is the second highest in the nation). I got an email from HR today that my husband was 'accidentally' added back on my insurance. Note that he has not been on my insurance for almost a year. How this happened I have no idea. I know some of you are on lockdown already and for that you have my utmost sympathy and empathy. We are supposed to start tomorrow. There are NO HOURS on the swap board and we have been running into NJA every day since MQ did the management shuffle. I have my resumes out and took some tests this weekend.
