Has anyone else who was effected by the DQS downage Sunday been given any downtime pay? I HAVE NOT - upsetbeyondbelief

I cannot believe this, I look on my schedule today and all the notes I put with Ticket numbers have been taken away and in their place 0 hours!!!! I was one of many who could NOT work Sunday due to DQS being down, down, down, down. Then we are told to wait until Support tells CCM when the time was. Now I am only to assume I am royally sc***wed over again. Did anyone else get the downtime we SHOULD HAVE? So upset, so upset so upset so upset.

Is everyone turned into chickens? Why does no one ever respond? sm - beyondbelief

I did not work Sunday, so did not have this issue, however, the last time that my work was affected, I sent a ticket to support, got ticket number, sent e-mail to CCM and gave her ticket number and asked for downtime pay and what hours I was unable to work. I explained that this was not my problem and that my pay should not be affected, and that this is in MQ policy handbook.

I would absolutely contact your CCM with the title "Time Card Error" in the subject line and tell her that she needs to go in and edit your timecard to reflect those time. Put the ticket number in the e-mail from support.

If she does not respond in 24 hours, escallate it.

Angry much?? My time is there. You need to yell at your CCM, not the forum. If they don't resolve your issues, like the other poster said, then escalate.

I wouldn't dump on the board! Its up to your to be proactive and get this resolved instead of ranting and raving about what HASN'T HAPPENED for you.

If I were you, I'd call the CCM AGAIN and then your RTL and then the next person in line. Your CCM was required to provide a list of numbers for issues exactly like this. In my region we got 6 different numbers of people to contact, but I think we're lucky here as the CCM that we have actually answers her phone, her messages and e-mails!

Don't be mad, get it fixed! Messin' with our money is a no-no!

i'm not scheduled sundays, and that's probably why you didn't get many responses, since not many people are, except for the odd MT that absolutely loves MQ and making no money at all... her/his husband/wife is probably be Oprah or Bill Gates, so he/she doesn't have to worry about being screwed out of a few bucks by a major company... i'm with ya.

I work Sundays because I have to. I've given up parties, get-togethers, club meetings, shows, etc. that normal people with bankers' hours get to attend and take for granted. It still feels like the proverbial knife driven into my side every time I must decline because "I HAVE TO WORK." Friends on Facebook extoll the virtues of their luxurious vacations, get-aways, but NOOOO, not for me. Can't afford to do anything but stay home with my PTO or use it up with NJA. What do I get for giving up half of my personal life? Zippo. Zilch. Nada. I'm not married. Lost my last boyfriend as he only had to work 24 hours a week and got paid for being on call. He said they "paid him for what he knows" not for the hours worked. I'm not on disability but work 2 full-time jobs, feel like I'm burning the candle at both ends. Been this way my whole life in the medical field, first as a nurse, now this. How is it some people get so much time off, get to work normal hours, get paid so much? Is it just luck or what?

I understand. I feel the same way. I have lost my social life. I have to work to support myself. It is not a choice. I tried working 2 jobs and I just could not stick with it. I am working 1 FT job and 1 PT time job though. I have no idea how people get all their time off...maybe they have someone footing the bill for them. :)

Every day I wonder how he won the job lottery and I ended up at MQ. I feel so small for being jealous, but it is hard not to.

...that I had to work least 1 weekend day. I chose Sunday afternoons (part-timer) because the morning is already busy with church and stuff, and that way I actually have 1 day a week (which is actually my only day off at all, Saturday) if we want to make plans like b-day parties for the kids or whatever. It isn't fun, but every account I've worked on since I've been at MQ has reinforced that we have to have weekend hours, and I'd rather be proactive in picking the least heinous time for myself and my family.

Besides, in looking for other jobs, most companies mandate a lot more weekend hours for part-timers than MQ does and a lot less flexibility with scheduling.

Why in the world would we be working for MQ if any of us were married to rich people anyway? Seriously!! =)

Some of us just make the best of our situations and do what we're supposed to do without bringing everyone else down. I thought this board was to help each other, not rip each other to shreds. Don't you think encouragement goes a lot farther than mean sarcasm? Just my opinion....

I got some downtime pay. I would ask the CCM again. I have a nice CCM so I am very lucky. I would try it again.

My scheduled day/shift to work and NJA. Finding I am unable to make up these hours later in the week. It's not a wonderful life at all. Can't sleep at night wondering where the money for bills, etc., will come from, wondering who is next for termination. I am looking for another job but no luck so far. I have never run into NJA on a Monday morning. I had the hardest time getting the day off yesterday. (I have 3 weeks of accrued PTO which I have to take before December.) My CCM didn't respond for nearly a month. When I started reminding her every day for a response, she responded saying if I get the day off, I have to work a Friday. To make it up? She says she has a hard time staffing Sundays. Well I have a HARDER TIME SACRIFICING THEM FOR THE LAST 9 YEA ...

We are required to work a full-time schedule that includes either Saturday or Sunday, every weekend, forever. The only time we can take a full weekend is if we take a PTO day. But the problem is that we don't get paid holidays anymore (unless we work), so we are almost forced to take many of those as PTO days. Our sick days come out of our PTO days.
