E-mail from CCM - scared

Okay, it is 8 p.m. Friday night. Just checked e-mails. Noting my CCM sent one out at 4 p.m. Little concerned as to its content. She stated mandatory conference calls in the next 2 weeks with an "agenda," but will be brief. With what I am reading on this board, I am worried what this might be about. Hope I am one of the first ones on the call so as not to have 2 weeks of worrying. Anybody with any thoughts?

Don't know what it's about, but anytime we have a mandatory conference call, it's not usually good news. We will probably all have these kinds of calls soon. Don't know why CCM does this, just makes for more anxiety all around. I'm sure after the first one, someone will post on here what it's about, so we won't have to wait long.

Well, don't panic yet. Yeesh, our "team" had an SOS e-mail one time, with phone calls very first thing in the a.m. (like 6 a.m. for Pacific Time Zone) telling us to get into a call immediately.

Turns out, it was just an issue with having to be careful about sending CC's to the wrong doctor because of privacy-type issues. Or something similar, don't exactly remember what, but we all thought we were going to get the can.

Doubt that's the one you all are going to have, but this has happened and it scared the beejesus out of all of us for nothing. They literally got people out of bed for it and we were Instant Messaging like crazy wondering what the heck was going on.

the low work volumes recently, it's hard not to jump to that conclusion. You could be right, could be something harmless, you never know. With this company's track record, we just assume the worst.

It's very unnerving. I didn't get this email and probably won't since I'm in a contained division of the company, but conference calls are never good. They aren't always bad. Sometimes they are just stupid, so hopefully it's that. After I left MQ for another company, one day we were told there would be a conference call the following Sunday. So all week I wondered and worried because our company had been having some trouble recently. Then I call in and the automated message says "Welcome to the MedQuist call center." That's how I found out I had been bought and sold like a slab of meat. I actually hung up and went back to bed - nothing more I needed to know.

Luckily, we already work for MQ/MM, so our careers are already flushed into the sewers. Worst case scenario we're all finally washed out into the ocean.

Hopefully it's just some corporate suits freaking out over some inconsequential BS. Maybe they have to tell you about some new program or project that has nothing to do with you or your job or your life in general, but they feel is too important for a simple email. Like children, execs think everything they do is so monumentally important and they can't wait to show off.

in an area or on a team with constant NJA, perhaps you are getting a new account to your BoB. Try to remain positive, I know easier said than done. I highly doubt it is anything like a loss of job or anything like that because as we know they like to starve people out so they quit and do not have to pay unemployment.

My TSM has been sending out emails too, but with a recap of all of hte policies. This might be what your conference is in reference to. That is what they do now, "look after" the MT/ME's. They don't deal wtih customers anymore. They will probably just tell you about how to call in siok, PTO procedures, email procedures, etcetera.

Not that I really WANT to hear from the Q, but am I the only one who does not have e-mail still? I can log into MQ Central fine, click the "my community" button, and the regular e-mail page does come up but with only four boxes at the top (no e-mail list). One of those boxes says something about currently experiencing problems with MT mail, we are contact with the vendor trying to resolve issues. That's it. Rest of the page is white. Doubt he will even read it but if he does, it was nice knowing all of you. I did not use any bad language, but I did speak my mind. I cannot access my web e-mail. I believe there was an upgrade happening this week (thought today). Now they want user name and password. from a supervisor with a typo or a word spelled incorrectly or misuse of a word. I want so much to send a reply stating "Failed audit!" And where does the doctor's responsibility come in? I can't believe how poor some of their grammar is and how they mix up genders throughout the report. It's unbelievable how much we have to correct to make them look good. Just received e-mail from corporate stating that as they had previously stated they would be rearranging management, ccm's, etc. It went on to state that if you had been reassigned to a new CCM they would be contacting you in the future, but Thank GOD at the bottom it lists who your CCM will be and I am lucky enough to have the same CCM who I love and has always been good to me.
