There is a book called "Who moved my cheese?" that I would highly recommend for those who are struggling so much with the upgrade. From this board, it seems that there is no possibility that a major upgrade in a complicated software in and of itself might need some bugs ironed out (anyone heard of Windows?) as opposed to an evil company finding a way for people on the other side of the world to spy on you while you work or a bunch of overpaid executives sitting around a table discussing how they can cut your pay? Really?

I downloaded it without any problems, use it without any problems other than a slightly longer time downloading and uploading files (OMG - 3 seconds from my day for FREE) and I am confident that no one from India is watching me work.

The one piece of paranoia I think might be valid is perhaps MQ targeting the chronic complainers.

Sorry, but you call it complaining - others call it facts and reality. No message.

It can be. And it's not 3 seconds a DAY it's prob more - like 5 seconds PER REPORT

And yes, even that can add up. Besides, this was supposed to be an UPGRADE.

Everything everyone "complains" about on this board is pretty much true and factual. Problem is, MQ won't "iron out" anything......

I had several problems downloading 6.1 and had several issues immediately after.

Once these problems were resolved, however, I have had no problems.

I do not mind the physician lookup and do not understand why everyone complaints about that. I have not used the number list because I do not remember how to do it and have not taken the time to go back and watch video again, but I will.

I feel for myself, that the spelling thing slowed me down, especially when typing. As soon as I would see the red line, I would stop and have to fix it and that took more time for me than just doing spellcheck once at the end.

I think the only real complaint is I get NJA more and I feel that I am not being paid for some keystrokes that I was on the old version (not exactly sure what).

I do struggle with change, although I am glad once everything is over and I feel comfortable again, which is already happening.

It is just probably the inital hurdle that people are having a struggle through, like myself, and it is better to have compassion for those struggling and help them to find ways to go through this change easier.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for those with issues still. I know there was real problems with the computer and I know that they will fix it. They fixed mine.

be typing on IBM and correcting with white-out. But change that makes our job more difficult and reduces our paycheck is a really big pill to swallow. It isn't the change that is bad; it is the bad changes we grieve over.

I have never really been a complainer, just a MQMT who has situations that were not being addressed. - ververyoldMQMT

Okay, first off. Support REALLY DID HELP ME!!! But it took them to get it downloaded onto a DSL. Was with her for over an hour to get it all down. (No, I am not getting paid for that). Tutorial took almost 3 hrs because even on DSL it was slowwwwww downloading all the different steps... Now, my dial up issue. Since I CAN (Thank you Lord!!!) do my job on dial up, I really did not notice any difference in the docs loading down. It was normal for me with dial up. Actually, it is better believe it or not. When the full 6.1 is required and we are active, then I understand the CTRL H header listing on the left hand side will be there. It is a waste of time. I will toggle it out and not use it, I was told we DO NOT HAVE TO. I really like the number listing. That's good. I like the skip marker. Haven't used the split function, so to me it was not very well instructed on the tutorial. I will go back and review that video.
No, I don't like the pay cuts; but I simply need the job, cannot work outside my home because of a health condition, and I will stay here until they officially give me the boot.
This is not complaining, and most peeps on this site are not truly complaining, they are just hurting and need some salve....
Back to work I go. I'm glad I won't have to expend any more huge money on satellite. I can barely pay my bills now. Power is about to be disconnected.

Adapting to change really has nothing to do with the 6.1 issue. This version (I won't refer to it as an upgrade) WAS NOT MADE to work with the latest Microsoft operating systems. That is a bit more than a bug, I would say and is in no way a change for the better. Epic FAIL on whoever OK'd the roll-out of 6.1.

I'm now transcribing directly into the EMR for my client now, and therefore, cannot charge by the lines anymore. The only thing I can think of to do is charge by the megabyte. I would put the whole billing period of voice files in one folder, click properties, and there would be my total megabytes for the billing period. I played 8 voice files that added up to 27.81 minutes and 2.95 mg of voice files so it seems safe to assume 1 mg = 1 min of dictation. At $1.85 per me ...

I am working for a large MTSO FT, and am considering going to PT and taking a side job at a local tiny rural hospital, which pays by the hour. google "TAA petition" and read the website to start one against MQ for displaced workers since they are sending all the work to India, especially those displaced due to buyouts.
