While that stupid background virus scan is working on all workstations!!! Can the management people who work behind the scene not get it through their heads that this interrupts everything?? Geeze. My computer locks up every single time this thing runs and it always runs every Friday night. They must be using some updated Java thing with the program because that is what locks me up. My computer has an older Java version that they are using and right in the middle of running their scan, Java message tries to pop up and let me know I need to update. Well, guess what? I don't ...if your virus scan would just leave my work station alone so I can do MY JOB. Thank you very much for this consideration. (Trying to think of a more diplomatic way to send this message to tech)..but bottom line, that is what is happening. Two programs trying to run at the same time...and with me trying to also work, none of it is working.)

Turn off the automatic scan and set it to manual. - elle

You can probably get to the screen to do that by either right clicking on the task bar icon or double click on the icon. The automatic settings are in each individual tower and not run by MQ through the internet. I have my update scheduled outside my shift and my scans performed manually by me.

Kaspersky was loaded into the MQ computer I use when I got it. The settings were set-up by the administrator and cannot be changed except by the director, as I was told. I just went into the settings and looked around and I don't see anywhere it says a task is scheduled at a certain time,but in the report section it does show that virus scan on workstations completed, et cetera....so I don't have a clue as to how I could change the time or set it to manual.

had screwed up and Kapersky wasn't on it. They had the old McAfee which I uninstalled since MQ wasn't using it and I use a virus scanner I had.

File a QCare ticket and have support go into your computer and at least change the update and scan times to something outside of your shift time.

I'm sure there is a way to do it yourself, but I don't want to take the time to figure it out for you. Make sure that you demand support fix it if they give you trouble.

I talked to support about that. They told me they have nothing to do with the timing of that and CANNOT change the time.

Does anyone else have this happen???!!! I was working on a horrible report, bad quality, lots to fix. I stopped to go get the mail, make a sandwich. When I got back, it had shut down "after being inactive for one hour" WHAT? I was NOT gone for an hour. This has happened to me before. Now this report that I had spent over 20 minutes on and was just going to recheck it, I get nothing for! ...

According to a poster below which has apparently already attended one of the payroll meetings (as the poster posted) for nuance they have decided to keep the incentive part of all of our pay going with an exception that now you have to have over the industry standard of 98% to get a production based incentive. In addition (if this poster is accurate) they have again cut the overall pay from 8 and 4 to 3 3/4 AND 7 1/2. This is nothing but a bunch of crapploa...an MT who is now getting ...

I was doing pretty good with my line count for the week, hoping to make a decent bonus tier for this last week before the new pay plan rolls out. I have tried on 3 different computers and could not open on any of them (different operating systems and versions). the last one said a threat was detected; however, when I check the sender it does come from Nuance.
