And it feels great! Wrote my supervisors an email that I was quitting and said all the things I have wanted to say for so long but didn't dare, then proceeded to delete all their software from my computer, including email, and will never look back. Cashing in a pension plan from a previous job that will carry me through until June when I am 62 and can retire. Done with this thankless job!!!

Shame you have to retire early. I had to too and because of my work being given to MTs who lost a big account at my company. I had good accounts and made wonderful money, but now that I need the work, I must be last on the list.

I hope you gave them he--. I'm considering quitting any minute, these reports are ridiculous. Now the doctor filled in every patient's name with his own name and I have to spend so much time correcting it. Its not worth it, and I will probably get errors for those reports that were due to a lazy doctor.

It doesn't matter though they will never change anything. Not until the last one of us is gone and then they will have to hope India wants to stay up all night their time which would really be the day time over here because there will be no day workers our time. This field will never change, they have whittled us down soo much and gotten away with it they will just stay the same or keep going down. Did anyone get a gift certificate for Thanksgiving. I used to get one every year in the real world, and even in the local MTSOs I worked for before it became a national thing. Does anyone think they will get a Christmas bonus! Used to get that too, but no chance of it now. We are not people to these companies we are just a name that has no face and does the work for them.

Good luck to you. Maybe you will find a real job in between now and then and you won't have to retire, just get paid by the hour and keep working!

When I quit, I had so much fun deleting EVERYTHING job-related to my MT job. Each time I hit delete, I said WEEEEEE. It was so much fun, like a fun game, a ride at the amusement park, take your pick.

It's like scratching items off a list - a rush like you can't imagine, lol. I've got trigger fingers just waiting to delete and clean my entire computer, especially after iMedx's virus program... that gave me a virus.

Has anyone elsed noticed that ASR sometimes "takes a break" on Fridays??? I was doing pretty good with my line count for the week, hoping to make a decent bonus tier for this last week before the new pay plan rolls out. Then, BOOM... nearly all reports are straight transcription this morning. Long op notes that I usually edit this time each day (and can get a very good LPH) I now have to type out. Did any one get an email on Friday that was a zip file and could not open it? I have tried on 3 different computers and could not open on any of them (different operating systems and versions). the last one said a threat was detected; however, when I check the sender it does come from Nuance. While that stupid background virus scan is working on all workstations!!! Can the management people who work behind the scene not get it through their heads that this interrupts everything?? Geeze. My computer locks up every single time this thing runs and it always runs every Friday night. They must be using some updated Java thing with the program because that is what locks me up. I am nervous but breathing a sigh of relief!!! After countless applications, I was offered and accepted a secretarial job in a local school. Less hours, but at least I know what I am getting paid weekly! I will have the same days off as my children. I have only been there for about 6 weeks, but the payroll lady seems to get the checks out lightning fast. However, I realize the 15th is happening in the middle of the week, so payday might not be until Monday. With the dictator from hell, 16 PGN in a row, and everybody sitting there waiting for somebody else to do him - the catch this time is that somewhere along the line in the last 2 weeks of getting stuck with these every single night is that I learned to understand him!
