I have been working for a couple of hours now on 4 different accounts. I have noticed that in documents there are entire sentences missing, many words missing, and lots of lab names and values missing???? WHAT THE HECK? It has been in numerous dictations and not just one or two. I have had to add many sentences, lab names, words, sometimes every other word. What is going on? Has anyone else noticed this? These are not hard to understand people, and not same ones in same account or even same account. All of them????

There will be whole phrases missing. And other times, whole phrases in there that were never dictated! And, same thing, these are clear dictators.

Noticed it on one particular doctor the other day - I just used F11

they can call and ask me why if they want. I'm not doing this for any less money than they already pay me.

What does the F11 do in this case?

It erases the whole report and goes to straight - transcription

Then you get paid at straight transcription rate, supposedly..

I do it in extreme cases where the ASR is just out in left field somewhere like when a dictator happens to enter the wrong code. If it takes me longer to edit than type, I save the report and then F11 it.

Your usual accounts must be cream of the crop if you are not experiencing this everyday all day.

I certainly do not get why, after several years, it still consistently omits the pulse rate dictated.

I had a report last week that SR left out the whole paragraph of lab values. What the heck? Not to mention all the other mistakes that it just randomly throw in there that doesn't sound anything remotely what was dictated. SR is such a bad joke!

I am sick to death of being bounced all over the place! I would love to force the QA lead and CCM to swich every 10 minutes as well... Recently I was told the account I've been on for the past decade is going to voice recognition. Having worked on a VR platform briefly, I know I don't want to get screwed making half the money with longer hours. I'm going to be sending out brochures to doctors' offices in my area. I'm wondering which specialties would be the best ones to target - i.e., more likely to outsource their transcription to an individual transcriptionist, least likely to have EMR or EPIC. The worst thing to me is when you get a few jobs in a row and try to build up some momentum, then OOW again!
