Transcription Labels Provider Needed - Luvie

Posted: May 13, 2013

I have been using Forms and Filing systems to order my transcription labels but they have not answered their phone since last week.  Can anyone recommend a company to order 8.5 x 11 size labels from?  Thanks in advance.

Are you an MT. I am thinking not, otherwise you would - know to Google, the MTs best friend. nm

Google is not as good as a personal recommendation - Luvie

Well that was a really professional answer. Yes, I am an MT, yes I know how to Google. I was asking for personal experience recommendation.

But personal recommendations dont seem to be coming - fast and furious, do they? Just sayin. nm

I believe I know what the OP Iis referring to - nn

The clinic where I used to work many years ago, used "sticky paper," which after we typed the report, would print on the sticky paper and it was then placed in the patient's chart.

OP, if this is the case, I would check with Office Depot, Office Max or Staples. HTH

To the other person, who responded, your post came through as a bit snarky and obviously, you are a newer MT to have never heard of this kind of thing.

I know what sticky paper is. But OP was asking for - labels. Very different. nm

Was that response necessary, really? The OP was asking an honest question. No reason to be so bitchy back at her. Sheesh...I swear this board is full of hens who like to cluck, cluck, cluck. So glad I don't work in a real office with any of you.

Yes, it is sticky paper. Thank you - luvie

Thank you for your reply. Someone else also emailed me the name of a vendor they recommended, which she had used in the past.

Just wanted a personal endorsement, that's all, as every hit on Google says they are the best and there are differences in services and quaity of the paper as well.

So I really appreciate both your responses.

have been using briggs sticky paper aka labels. they work well. they have two kinds, one is lighter than the other. with oki printer light one works best.

Amerifile. - s/m

I think that was the name of the company where I used to get them. They went through the laser printer perfectly well, and they were the cheapest at the time. There's also Medical Arts Press.

Thank you Twinklefingers, Jane and the one who mentioned Amerifile - luvie

Thank you all for responding. Truly helps and I appreciate it.

New Pathology Transcription Job, Info Needed
Jun 28, 2013

I am about to start a new in-house path transcription job for a laboratory. I did transcription for about 6 years up until I quit last spring. My specialties then were ortho and PT, so I have no experience in pathology. The new company is well aware of this and is willing to train and be patient with me learning on the job. Even so, I am so very nervous as I know this is a whole different ballgame with terminology. They do autopsies as well. Are there sites I should read up on or dictionaries th ...

Return Equipment Labels
Apr 06, 2010

Left MQ the last day of March 2010.  I have read on this board numerous times that that they a long time to send return labels.  I have been gone 1 week and already have return labels, but the joke is, I do not have MQ equipment to send back.  Have been using my own equipment from day one.  I even had to have it repaired a couple months ago and my CCM asked if it was my computer.  If it had been theirs they would have gotten it back then.  Just thought you might enj ...

Got Shipping Labels Today From The Q
Jan 21, 2011

Hey all, I got my shipping labels today.  Y'all were right - they want the PC back, but not the CRT monitor, mouse, speakers, foot pedal, or anything else that I have of theirs.  (They want C-phones back, but my C-phone went back years ago.) Also, thanks for posting that W-2s are on ADP.  I was still able to get into that and get mine. New job is going well so far.  I love my little office!  I also love the fact that I can grow my nails a little.  I ...

KNOW WHO IS YOUR PROVIDER
Nov 04, 2012

On Thursday, Nov 1, 2012, I received a phone call telling me that I was fired. After 19 years of being an MT/MME I was told that my line count was too low. I did get a call the week before questioning me about my count. I guess that was my warning. All of us who work for MModal know the changes that constantly go on. We all know the imperfection of SR. We all know about offshore. We all know that you really get straight transcription. Maybe my 11 cents a line was too high. What ever ser ...

Provider Going To EMR -- Hourly Vs CPL?
Jun 08, 2011

One of my providers is going to switch over to EMR.  I've looked into the program and it's got a similar document section to MS Word.  However, with them going to EMR, I'm assuming I'll lose quite a bit of my bulk work (macros, etc) that I currently have with "straight typing." So my question is this ... is it worth it to transcribe EMR for a CPL rate or is it better to renegotiate my "contract" and go hourly?  I'm an IC/MTSO so get no benefits. Would ap ...

What Internet Provider Do You Have?
May 23, 2012

Since we work remotely for MTSOs that may be hundreds or even thousands of miles away, can they really tell if we have DSL or calble or satellite or broadband, etc?   I think what I am trying to say is how would they know from that far away what type of internet we have.  I have had terrible luck in landing a job with great experience, 25 years and heavy experience with ESL.  I do not have much in the way of VR, but am willing to learn.  The reason I cannot get a job is ...
