Have dictators you have to turn the volume all the way up and press the headset into your TMs to hear? Do you have to only chew during pauses because the sound of your chomping would obliterate their tiny whisperer? Have doctors who never learned to use the "Pause" making you listen to them review the past 5 years of a patient's chart? Are pauses so long you can take a nap or make lunch while they are thinking? Do you use swear words against the doctors, calling them mother _____ers, _____ ____ers, total idiots, and dumb s____? Do you yell things they would arrest you for in public? Are you tempted to leave dictation as is when they say "scratch that"? Do you revert to using the above swear words when they say "scratch that" for the 2nd and 3rd time? Have you forgotten to turn the Windows volume controls down before hitting the foot pedal on a loud doctor and had your TMs rupture? Does your dog only bark when you are re-listening to a part of dictation you can't understand? Does your MTSO show disgust when you don't check your company email on your days off or after hours? Have you ICs found yourself unemployed for 2 weeks when you suddenly discover your doctor went on vacation? Are you paid to be psychic when the doc dictates "Copy to Dr. Smith in Chicago"? What percentage of docs warn you when they change batteries in their hand-helds? What are your best VR bloopers? Here are a few of mine: "Agent Menopause" (age at menopause). "a reptile dysfunction" (erectile dysfunction). "Rocks and all" (Roxanol). And my all time favorite: "Circus-sized penis" (circumcised penis).
