Was anyone else's Oracle paycheck late? (see message) - New1

I received the email last Thursday that all direct deposits would be in accounts first thing Monday and hard checks for new employees would be in Monday's mail.

Well, Monday was a holiday so I figured that was an oversight; however, our mailman did not have my check today, either.

It's my first paycheck with Oracle and I do not want to look like I'm whining, but was kind of looking forward to getting that check today. It wasn't a lot as it was less than 2 wks but it was enough to go out for a nice little lunch as a treat.

Did everyone else receive their check on time? I'm hoping just with the holiday it will arrive a day later than expected and be in my hands tomorrow; however, with the way the industry is these days... Well, I figured I shoud check to see if anyone else had a late check.

I do not work for Oracle but if ANY company was late with my check I would let them know from the get-go that this was not acceptable. Since there was a holiday involved, it's probably okay to give them a second chance, but if it happens again, I would let them know this is not acceptable. And you are not whining--you are asking for what is due you. Good luck.

Since that was only 2 days after the pay period ended, I have been optimistic that I will be paid quickly. This is my first pay period with them, so I was kinda hoping I am paid on 3/4, but realistically 3/7 would be okay too.

I'm hoping it's just a day's delay with the mail because of the holiday because so far I really like the company, the account, and all the people I have interacted with. It seems to be a very easy place to work for so I'm REALLY willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that it's just delayed because of the holiday on Monday.

If you submitted your invoice and received notice of when checks are sent, they were sent. The problem is the US Post Office and probably the holiday. Checks are always on time when direct deposit - the mail, who has control over that? :)

When they send out the e-mail saying the checks are sent and the direct-deposits have been made, they have done it. I have been working for Oracle for many, MANY years and have NEVER had a late pay check (except for a one-day delay for holidays).

Don't wofk for Oracle, but our direct deposit was - 1 day late because of holiday. NM

Apparently the check was lost in the mail and another one is being overnighted to me today. At least my next check will be direct deposit so no more worries. Gosh, am I just old or does anyone else remember when the post office was actually reliable?

Delighted I gave Oracle the benefit of a doubt. My husband, the always skeptical businessman, told me I shouldn't type one further character for them until the replacement check is in my hand; however, I've never read on these boards of Oracle not paying anyone, so I assured him if they say they're overnighting it, then they are indeed overnighting it, LOL!

To the couple of those posts that carried a twinge of hostility that I was wondering if anyone else's check was late....All I can say is, although I honestly hope you never have to wonder where your check is, if/when it does happen, I hope no one misinterprets your concern or insinuates it's not company's fault the check is late, etc.

Thanks to those who were honestly concerned, though...It's appreciated.

My daily emails for pay are not being answered and there is no communication whatsoever at this point. I love the hospital I work for and have stayed with this company a long time because of this. apparently I was only employed by Nuance thru last December. Starting in January I was employed by Transcend. This is as per the state unemployment benefits office. I wonder if any other late night MTs find things are sometimes really amusing...I know that it helps me to stay awake sometimes. I just had a medication list, but it seems that this patient got stuck at the beginning of the alphabet. The patient's seven medications were: Adderall, albuterol, Advair, Ambien, amantadine, Amaryl and Adalat. Makes me wonder if they going to start on the "B" medications next. lol What do some of the other late night MTs here do to help themselves ...

Having issues with slow program in MT window as well, voice and transcription both stopping completely, cursor gone, mouse arrow gone, no control while computer thinks its way through. Takes several to 5 minutes to "wake up" and give me control of pedal and screen. Has happened several times, and I have lots of stats in a row. If I keep going may lose my work.
