Nothing for Christmas, and it looks like our present is being told at the last minute that our checks will be a day late this week. So much for all of the overtime, working holidays without holiday pay, no sick days, no paid days off...It seems like they could do more for their transcriptionists who keep their company going.

i'm eventually getting away from transcription, too. going to school to begin a new career. right now i'm keeping it because jobs aren't plentiful where i live, and i make about the same or maybe a bit more as i would make working in fast food...transcription used to be a great career..i blame the downfall of transcription not only on changes in technology but on greed. very sad :(

I'm ok with not getting a Christmas gift or card from them this year, though it was a nice surprise when I got something last year. I was kind of disappointed, though, to not get even an email greeting of any kind from any of the higher-ups. Those don't cost a cent, but the thought behind them is nice..... The email I did get this morning about our pay not being deposited until tomorrow morning kind of pissed me off, though. WTH? They couldn't have told us that a week ago or even a few days ago? What if I had a debit coming out of my account today having expected to be paid today? I've NEVER had that happen before. It makes me wonder if there aren't some other issues going on behind the scenes....

Luckily, I started training for a new career a few days ago that should prove to be very lucrative and I can soon send in my email of resignation.

Up till now I've been pretty happy with Entrada and I hope I'm not reading too much into this. (Note that I'm on this board right now because I've had no reports to type for the last hour. And it's been this way for well over a week.)

For the most part with how downhill medical transcription has gone, I would say Entrada is one of the better companies. However, due to past experiences with other companies, this pay issue has me a bit worried as well. Also, I feel it was very heartless to not let us know about the paychecks until after we would have expected to have them in our accounts. I no longer have things automatically come out of my account, but that easily could have been the case for many people. This is also the first time our paychecks have been late, but it still has me worried. Work has also been low for me this week for Entrada. I'm thinking and hoping it might be due to the holidays though. Congratulations on your new job! Looking forward to the day I can get away from transcription as well.

It's Saturday now, payday was yesterday - we were told (yesterday) that pay would be a day late (today) ... still no pay.

Until today the only bad feeling I had was the "mandatory" training that removed us from production (actually making money) that we aren't paid for. I hate working (or training) for free. Now I'm worried that I spent the last 2 weeks, even Christmas, missing out on my family just so I could work for free.

very sorry to hear yours was even later. hope you have it by now. with how transcription is now, many of us live paycheck to paycheck. if it's not there on time, it can really mess things up :(

For the one complaining about no holiday pay, sick pay, vacation pay etc., no overtime - YOU are an independent contractor. You don't get those when you are an IC. That is not the companies fault that you accepted the position as an IC. If you don't like not getting paid for these things then find a job where you are an employee and not an IC. I personally like being an IC because I can set my own hours and not be a prisoner with a schedule. I have been with Entrada for a few years and it's grown a lot in the past couple of years. I have never had a late paycheck ever, not even January 3rd was late like others. I get direct deposit. They are a decent company to work for, much better than most. I have been doing MT for 20 years. I also get a Christmas card every year from higher ups! I just think some people like to come on here and whine and complain about anything and everything. Misery does love company. I work with a few whining, complainers that do it daily about the job that we are supposed to actually do. SMH

I saw Entrada Health was advertising on mtstars.com. I checked out their web site for the position. In the QA position, it mentioned "offshoring." Does anyone have any experience working with this company? They also say they pay well. I'm so wary of these companies. Do we know for sure they 'offshore/" How do they treat their US employees? ...

I recently went through Entrada's internship and am now working for them as an IC editor. I have done extensive searching on line and can not find even one review from an employee for this company. I was told that I will be working Monday through Friday but was not given any specific schedule, which is how an IC position should work. I was also told I can go on line and work 24/7. I finally cut ties with the Q after being returning to work for them and finding them not to be the company they once were or the pay was not the same. After careful consideration and finding another position, I resigned. Awaiting my pay out from my PTO and being told it would be deposited today, nada. Anyone have any idea about this? Does anyone know if companies typically call your former employers for background checks? I have jumped around a lot in the last several years for various reasons, and still looking for the right fit, but have applied to 10 different companies in 2 weeks and have only heard from 2. I tested and passed with Precyse and was interviewed twice and offered a position and accepted. I have received 3 acceptance letters, a start date, and an email stating my equipment is on the way.
