WEBMEDX - counterproductive - FEDUP2

Posted: Nov 04, 2010

In the beginning, we were told to keep track of all jobs (on our time of course and that it took, lot of time) that we felt had more than 40% editing, and llist reasons when they started rolling out the carpet for editing.  If they felt that dictator needed more work, they would send it back for more retraining.  That lasted for a short time, then we were told (well over a year ago) that they were no longer going to be answering those requests due to other changes that would take those people who performed those duties away.  IMHO, it is the MTs that trained the voice recognition machines by making the continuous corrections for their new system everyone is talking about -- physicianschoice.

Never have I worked anywhere in less than 2 years did a company treat their employees like this, when times are so rough, and yet employees stood by them, yet they continue to make things harder on the employee -- pays were cut because of a "new and improved voice recognition" which has been nothing BUT counterproductive, (they have yet held up their end of what they said they were going to do on that, nor will they, back then, this new front line system was not even mentioned on a CC or email), almost doubled the health insurance, closed the formulary, took away other benefits that were available to full time and for some of those like short and long term disability, we have to pay for, and made full time 40 hours instead of 35-37 hours, and this is not everything.  Used to be proud to say where I worked.

MTs do not train voice recognition, the person dictating does, sm - mt

but I understand most of what you're saying and feel your pain.

MTs *do* help train SPEECH recognition - mtmtmt

On the back end, the finished product is measured against the original product thus the software gets "smarter" well at least that's the THEORY behind it.

So GO ALREADY... NM - I want YOUR WORK...

Karma.

SO obviously management. - This horse is FAR from deead...

I know you would like to let everyone who doesn't work for Webmedx think that might be the case, but those of us who work there know better. You are the obvious management damage control plant who tries to belittle eveyone's problems with the company.

This is so typical of you guys now. And the reason you are BLASTED on these boards now.

MTs are not stupid, we are just victimized by those who think we are!

Keep posting here and prove our point.

Beating a Dead Horse - Susan

Yes, you are correct. Webmedx does treat their employees like dead horses. Nobody is forcing you to read these posts. What prompts you to read posts about Webmedx when chances are they are not going to be pretty? Your comment of "I want your work" indicates you are not receiving enough either which puts you in the same category as many of us.

Wow, you sound like me 2 years ago, do yourself - shortcake

a favor and go somewhere else. The best day of my adult (working) life was the day I left MQ. Sounds a lot like where you work right now and if you feel like this, it is time for you to leave. By the time I left MQ, I could have babysat for 1 child in my home and made more money. My young sons were coming home from shoveling snow or mowing lawns with more money in their pocket. It's just not right and maybe it is time for you to stand up and not take it anymore and find something else!! Don't waste your time with a company that does not care about the time you are spending with them. They sound just like MQ and as far as I can see by what has gone on since I've left MQ, they just keep getting worse and worse. I doubt that Webmedx will be different.

Generic Emails Are Counterproductive BTW
Mar 01, 2015

I cannot express how much I don't want to work when generic emails are sent out. Why not deal with the people not doing what they are supposed to be doing on an individual basis. Maybe it is just me, but that is the adult way to handle things. ...

Dec 23, 2009

Those of you who left Wedmedx after finding out our pay will be cut again due to the great production potential coming with the switch to M-Modal (oh, my goodness--how many of us do they think fell off the turnip truck?), where'd you go?  Is it any better? ...

Webmedx Needs To Pay
Apr 24, 2010

The unremarkable Wedmedx needs to pay for the downtime MTs are incurring because they want to switch everything over to their horrendous ISR.  The unremarkable Webmedx requires 1 to 4 hours to get new computers up and running and yet we production people are supposed to make up that time or use our PTO time or just not get paid.  The unremarkable Webmedx just hired new people and gave them bonuses to sign on but can't pay their longtime loyal employees for time lost due to no ...

Webmedx MTs
Sep 03, 2010

I just want you to know what a phenomenal job I think you all did on those atrocious accounts.  I QA'ed your work and was amazed at what you could decipher out of those dictations.  You are all amazing MTs in my eyes and any company out there would be lucky to have you working for them. I am so sorry we are all going through this but everything happens for a reason, so they say.  Let's just hope we all have brighter days ahead of us and better things. I was blessed to wo ...

Webmedx Pay Better Than Most
Oct 16, 2010

I know a lot of MTs and I keep getting calls to get on MTStars and read the latest bashing of Webmedx.  So when I finished work today I decided to do just that.  To hear all of your complaints I wonder if this is the same company I've been working for all these years. I've been editing since ISR started with them and it took me about a year to make up and at times exceed where I was.  Now I prefer ISR.  The long and the short of it is that as long as Webmedx keeps ...

WebMedX And M-TEC
Nov 11, 2010

Is anyone currently working for WebMedX an M-TEC graduate? I'm currently a Premier I student at M-TEC. Since WebMedX is a sister company to M-TEC, I here they are willing to hire new M-TEC granduates who lack the usual 2 years of experience. If you are an M-TEC graduate currently employed by WebMedX, what was your M-TEC graduating GPA? What is a good enough GPA to get hired by WebMedX? I will be graduating in April 2012 and would like to start making some employment plans. ANY INF ...

Comparison Of ASR With Webmedx And MQ.
Nov 15, 2009

Anyone else working for/or have worked for both who has noticed a difference in the quality of the ASR on one as compared to the other.  I may be crazy, but I think I make far fewer corrections to the ASR on MQ work.  Maybe just lucky, but I tend to be a mouse user  (I know - shame on me, but I am getting better) and I find my right hand lets me know when I have been using the mouse more. ...

Webmedx Claims To Be Mostly VR?
Apr 06, 2010

My hospital employs Wmx for overflow work.  Their contact person claims we are their only account not using voice recognition, and that almost 70% of the VR reports are good to go without editing.  I find this hard to believe, as so many doctors are resistant to VR because it doesn't work well.  I also find their 70% claim questionable as we've had VR for Radiology for 5 years and approximately TWO percent of reports do not need editing and it has been a big waste o ...
