Can you believe that. Transcend advertising for new recruits when half the people they have have no work!
I see that ad, but - MDI/Trans MT2

I really wonder how many of us would really want it. Second shift, loads of ESLs and experience with at least 50 dictators plus hospital 100-bed count or more, not to mention Op notes. No thank you. I will wait for the snow to stop, the roads to open and stick with my own private/clinic accounts. Whew!

It is hard to believe, especially when my accounts are running dry, and I can't get a decent line count and I'm worried I won't make my quota for this pay period.
Then ask to work the shift that they are hiringf or!! Come on. - TAT TAT TAT no message
Their ad on the job seekers board indicates they have TONS of work on multiple accounts. They also state Bayscribe typing platform only, which I believe will be transitioning over to their Beyontext platform sooner than later. There are people on this board complaining all the time about lack of work and having to work 14-16 hour days. What is up with this? ...
Is this common (the 1 yr exp only requirement). Transcend has always required at least 3 years. One has to wonder if the 1 year exp is an easy ploy to offer lower pay. I worry about this since from what we can summize we will be moved to be in line with Nuance payscale at some point shortly. Is anyone else make this 1 yr experience connection? ...
I know many Transcenders seem to always have work according to prior posts, but lately there really has been frequent slow days with no work at all. Is anyone else in the same boat? Just worried about low pay this time.Thanks. ...
I start 12/27, so I would love to hear how day 1 of training went. I know there were at least a few starting today. Especially the BeyondTXT platform. Thanks! Hope you all had a great day!

The letter offers me to join in a lawsuit against Transcend. Have you received one, and if so, if you plan to join the lawsuit, would you share your reasoning? Do you think one might be "blacklisted" for joining such a lawsuit? Also, I do not understand how they can sue Transcend if it is now part of Nuance? ...
Does anybody know why they are always hiring? What is going on over there that no one stays? Anybody who works there or has worked there and left any insight on this would be appreciated. Thanks!! ...
Hiring again? Ad stated if necessary, need to provide 2-3 written references. How 'bout they do the same. Doubt if they could do that. IF the QA lady (the only one they have who is crazy anyway) can get her head out of the garbage can, she might contact you with bits and pieces of her so-called brain. The owner is just as bad. Beware of this company. It is a total waste of time. They scam your lines and lie about it. They scam your space ...
SoftScript hiring for straight transcription with $600/$1200 sign on bonuses. Does anyone work for them that can give me some info.? What does trans pay? Do you run out of work, how many lines to you do a day, would need 1200 at least myself at 7 or 8 cents to pay the bills. Please give me ANY info. you can. Thanks! ...

I am currently working at a company and with the way things are going with all of these companies, I am just afraid of layoffs. It's sad to see all of the same transcription companies on the job boards hiring, and it seems by reading the boards none of them are worth working for. I sure wish when I decided to go into transcription I could have looked into the future a few years. I have been doing transcription now for 6 years. I am thankful I do have my job still and ...
As an old school transcriptionist, it pains me more and more to turn in shoddy work in order to make production. No longer can I take the time I need to turn in a document up to my standards and still be able to make the production demanded of me. As soon as I can, I will quit and not look back. I'm tired of working under a stopwatch for wages that are laughable. ...

Ok, I'm being careful here because I'm not sure what companies names' we can/cannot post so here we go:
I've been working for the same company (let's call it company TYPE A for now) for approximately 6-7 yrs as an IC. When I got my 1099's, the company's name TYPE A was always listed. As of January 2011, I became an employee and started recieving my checks via a payroll company, let's call them PAYROLL A.
I got my W2 (online) the other day. When I ...
