Has anyone had any luck in asking the bosses at TT about the favoritism of certain MTs getting the cream of the crop?

My own experience was met by being told that it will be addressed immediately and she will "get to the bottom of it," then....crickets....nothing. After a month of waiting for a response (I sent 3 reminder notes, so I know she hasn't forgotten), I can now assume that the favs are here to stay. I end up scratching my head about this, since the oh-so-secretive-TT boses are obsessed with TAT( to the point of overhiring) and these favs aren't even in the same pool as the rest of us! Sounds kinda hypocritical, doesn't it? Keep that in mind the next time they begin to panic about "everybody hop on and help out" bandwagon.

They tell you what they think you want to hear so you wont ask anymore questions. They definitely have favorites. When the one pet is gone, all sorts of great reports show up that are never there when the TT Pet is there. Liars, liars, TT pants on fire!!

You know what? I'm new there, and cannot tell you all how much I appreciate seeing some current and honest posts here about this company.

There have been some things told to me that just don't add up.

Then, I received an email stating something about how the managers will be off Monday and don't send them too many emails, but if we want to jump on this weekend and work extra, please do. At that point, I realized that my suspicions regarding their lack of respect for MTs may be right on target. Of course, it wasn't a demand, but it sure didn't say that those of us who are off this weekend should be sure to enjoy the holiday..

I know what she's talking about. They have scheduled MTs to work the weekends and then send out an email to all and letting them know they can hop on and help out. The only problem with that is that the regularly scheduled MTs are struggling to get the few jobs left. TransTech doesn't care if they have 100 MTs to do 100 reports or 10 MTs to do 100 reports. It doesn't cost them 1 single dime more and it's all the same to them, as long as they stay 4 hours ahead of contractual TAT. Overhiring is a HUGE problem with this company.

TT also uses that sucky MT Test site to hire now too. - BITEMETT

Cheap cheap cheap, TT, and that ain't the birdies singing! The really sad thing is that TT used to be a good company but now they are just as greedy as the other MTSOs. They just pretend they aren't while stabbing their MTs in the back. Happy Holidays, TT!

Yes, that was part of the point, and it seems that having a set schedule with scheduled days off means nothing. Don't we have to agree in advance to work certain holidays? Even if work volumes are high, with plenty of work for all (which they aren't) I think it is rude of them to expect us to "hop on and work" on holidays, whether it is our day off or not, like machines, while they are going to be enjoying the weekend and Monday "off", and then expressing that MTs should keep emails to account managers at a minimum during this time.

In other words, "hop on and work" while we are enjoying our holiday, but don't bother us unless you need to let us know that you cannot work.

Does a set schedule mean anything to TransTech managers? Should I expect to be working 80 hours a week in order to get in my required lines for full-time status? Should I plan in advance to never have any holidays or weekends off?
Or, should I just ignore the "hop on and work" emails, and realize that I may never get full-time hours, and forget about health insurance and the other full-time benefits?

Hi there fellow TT MTs:) Do any of you ever have trouble with QA at TT. Lately, I have been afraid to send anything in for correction, particularly 1 person, who dissects my reports down to crossing my Ts and dotting my Is. I know she is probably just doing her job well, and I know being in QA is a hard job, but this is getting depressing. I am not a newbie by any means, and I know my job well. I started a new thread because I noticed your question about TransTech waaaay down at the bottom of the page and with no responses yet, so here goes... In my personal experience, nothing has changed from the older posts. Even today, I have 4 accounts and I'm currently waiting for work to come into my queue. For some reason, the EditScript would not come up. So I got rid of satellite and had Verizon Wireless installed. So far this is working pretty good. Much better than satellite -- knock on wood. some part-timers anyway, why not offer weekends to part-timers and offer some Mon-Fri shifts for the experienced full-time MTs you're trying to get..... That's about the only way you're going to get many experienced quality MTs. And there are always plenty of MTs looking for part-time weekend work as a 2nd job. ...
