Anyone know anything about TransTech? - WorkFromHome

I was recently hired by Transtech, just wondering if anyone has any experience with them? I was very excited to get a job offer, but was a little nervous when the recruiter started explaining what to do when work was slow or there was no work. AT 4.5 cpl for VR, the last thing I need is long periods of no work. Anyone with experience with them?

Can you tell me more about what you love? Like how is the workload (is there always work?) Can you make a decent amount with the SR, etc.? Any info is appreciated.

At best, there is only enough work to maybe get part time hours. There minimum like count per day is 1,500 lines per day which is impossible to do if there is no work. I learned 5 accounts in 3 months and still no work on all 5. They tell you to flex your schedule, but how are you going to do that when there is no work. In a 2-week time period, at best, I got about 32 hours. Then, try keep up with all the account specs for 5-6 accounts (I eventually got a 6th account that that 60+ pages of specs to keep up with) in addition to the 5 others. Once they threaten to fire me because I did not show up for my shift. I simply explained to them that I did show up for my shift on the last day of the pay period but for a solid 8 hours there was no work. They told my they did not see me on their system all day and I told them that was because where was nothing to type and I had signed on every half hour looking for work. What a joke.

We got our standard nasty e-mail at the end of the pay period regarding if we were short lines then how and when are we going to make them up. Well guess what - you can't if there is no work. Also if you don't make their daily quota, then you don't qualify for any benefits so their so called benefits are worthless when they don't have work.

Hi there fellow TT MTs:) Do any of you ever have trouble with QA at TT. Lately, I have been afraid to send anything in for correction, particularly 1 person, who dissects my reports down to crossing my Ts and dotting my Is. I know she is probably just doing her job well, and I know being in QA is a hard job, but this is getting depressing. I am not a newbie by any means, and I know my job well. I started a new thread because I noticed your question about TransTech waaaay down at the bottom of the page and with no responses yet, so here goes... In my personal experience, nothing has changed from the older posts. Even today, I have 4 accounts and I'm currently waiting for work to come into my queue. For some reason, the EditScript would not come up. So I got rid of satellite and had Verizon Wireless installed. So far this is working pretty good. Much better than satellite -- knock on wood. I have to say I really enjoyed working for TT other than the times of low volume and I would recommend them. some part-timers anyway, why not offer weekends to part-timers and offer some Mon-Fri shifts for the experienced full-time MTs you're trying to get..... That's about the only way you're going to get many experienced quality MTs. And there are always plenty of MTs looking for part-time weekend work as a 2nd job. ...

I am surprised to see the job ad for TransTech on the Job Board here...I thought they didn't have enough work. There are two ads actually, one for acute care, the other for oncology.
