Question for Webmedx MTs about new version - wondering

I am wondering how everyone is doing with the new version of Enterprise (the M-Modal software). Have you noticed that it has helped your productivity as they claimed it would, or has it slowed you down?

I have noticed that it takes much longer for reports to load with the M-Modal software and I am staring at that stupid purple box in the report entry screen for what seems like way too long before I can start typing or even listen to the audio. Am I the only one experiencing this? Any way that you know of to make it go faster? It also seems to take much longer for normals to load and for expansions to expand when I am typing. I cannot get anywhere close to my normal LPH with this software for regular typing or for VR. Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong? I have created expansions for the headings and such. It just seems like the software itself is slower and bogs down the whole process. My primary accounts are not on the new software yet, but I do reports for my secondary accounts on it. Switching back and forth between native Enterprise and the new version just seems to make it extremely clear to me how much slower the new version is.

They sent me a memory stick to upgrade my RAM and I did that. My computer is faster for other things (like my electronic references) since doing that. The new version software itself just seems slower.

Yep...it loads lots slower. I don't know how much faster the ISR reports are to do as far as productivity since I have only done a few for a secondary account. On my primary, it takes about 7 to 8 seconds for the job to load, then to change the work type it takes another 5 to 6 seconds. Even if I could listen to the audio use that time to verify demos, etc., it wouldn't be so bad, but you can't listen to audio while all of this is loading. For those little 30 second reports, it is really annoying.

Overall though, doing just straight transcription and not switching back and forth between old/new too much (PITA!), my productivity is about the same. After the 1st week I was pretty much back to my usual. I do feel a little faster with my secondary that has switched--I can use the same shorts for headings, which really does seem to help.

We'll see how I do with ISR. Still kind of on the fence about that.

Webmedx new version - not just you

No, it is not just you. It is a horrible platform, cumbersome, SLOW and anything gained by slightly better speech recognition in some cases, is quickly lost with just the slowness of it. I have counted to FIFTY while waiting for a report to load. I have froze repeatedly, been thrown out multiple times a day, and all of this for less pay? One would think with the advent of their new and improved speech recognition, the backlogs wouldn't be blowing out the roof across the board, but it also makes you wonder if people are quitting in droves. I'm afraid I won't be far behind.

I guess I am getting too old and not adapting as quick as I used to, but I find having accounts in both new and old a little confusing. My mind and fingers don't want to switch about so easily. I haven't trained yet for new versions but I think I read somewhere we no longer have to worry so much about account specifics i.e. formatting for ROS, bolds or caps for headings. This sounds good to me. My main account is on indefinite hold for converting so would love to hear some positives from those already there. TIA ...

I downloaded the new version of Smartype, and I need to figure out how you get something not to expand like say if you type pm and it expands it but you don't want it to. The older version you could type the word and press the shift key while pressing the spacebar and it would not expand, but it does not work that way on this version. I got a new computer a couple weeks ago with Windows 7 and IE 8. that when I did a split the master came through with no report on it and the splits were okay. No clue what happened. It split fine but no report on the master. Anyone else have any idea what caused this and how I can work around this. I have a ticket in but havent heard back yet.
