Finally I get a clear dictator!

And it's ASR. So I wasn't even laughing when the clear word "radiculopathy" came through in the system as "retic kilo disease".

Sheesh.

Actually I never used to get the complete garbage on ASR when it came out originally. I have only recently been noticing that these reports are showing up horribly.. I think we are getting ILP reports back that were so garbage even their 3 QAs did not catch. Shoddy work. The newest account we got back, and I understand there are more that hospitals are saying no ILP. The past reports lookups are profuse with errors. I would NEVER let anything go through with these flagrant errors. We who have been here many years, do not allow this kind of work to go to our clients. Yep, it is gonna come back and bite them in the proverbial gluteus because of the offshoring..

I used to think I was being paranoid to be so suspicious, especially with the clients who supposedly do not want to offshore. And I use that term loosely because there is the loophole of the end product being done in the US. Ever since the inception of CBAY I've also seen the dramatic change in ASR..and most definitely every time there is an update or maintenance. What I'm thinking now is perhaps the original document was not done by an MT, but maybe ILPs are programming? Seems logical..and who would ever know? It's a crock whatever the case is...pure garbage.

I haven't trained yet for new versions but I think I read somewhere we no longer have to worry so much about account specifics i.e. formatting for ROS, bolds or caps for headings. I downloaded the new version of Smartype, and I need to figure out how you get something not to expand like say if you type pm and it expands it but you don't want it to. The older version you could type the word and press the shift key while pressing the spacebar and it would not expand, but it does not work that way on this version. I got a new computer a couple weeks ago with Windows 7 and IE 8. Since IE 9 is not compatable with Editscript, when IE did the automatic update to IE 9 things started going bonkers while working, so I uninstalled it.
