Opti-Script What is up with that? - no name

I see Optiscript is hiring and they havent kept their promise of calling the employees they laid off to come back.

How do you know this? - I was not laid off, but

took another job when the layoffs started. Just yesterday I got an email asking me to come back for the account they need help with.

The ones contacted to come back if interested were only those former MTs who qualified for the open positions (clinic versus acute care; shift; etc.) I'm sure you could apply or contact them if you were interested in the opening.

I quit a decent job to be employed by them back in June; same acct they are hiring for now. Within a month after my hire, they lost an acct which Nuance pulled; an acct they had NO CONTRACT FOR and were carrying on a month-to-month basis, which is piss-poor management IMO - not looking out for their MTs. So they laid me off with no notice. The day I received the call was my last day. I was floored. The "B" that called me seemed to actually enjoy giving me the news. I'm not a speedy editor, much better at straight transcription, so that plus learning to navigate the acct web site and looking for info, I had trouble getting my line count so I'm assuming that's why I was cut. Mind you, I had 100% QA, which told me they were more concerned with production rather than quality. The acct they are hiring for is huge and it takes a lot of unpaid time to navigate the web site that you must access for all kinds of info - doctors' specific quirks, pt info, actually logging into pt charts, which consists of multiple pages to navigate, verify report types, dates, etc. For this reason, I would not recommend OS to anyone. They have no integrity. I only wonder how many accts they are carrying without contracts. It is utter stupidity to conduct business without a contract. They will throw their employees under the bus without hesitation. Besides, any company in bed with Nuance doesn't get my respect.

I've heard that OS doesn't have much tolerance for people who don't show up for work. . . maybe that was the issue if your QA was good. If you only worked from June to July, that explains a lot.

I tested with Opti-Script less than 2 months ago and I was told that I passed, but that there was a waiting list to be hired and that they would contact me as soon as they had openings. I just noticed that they posted an ad on Monday for acute care MTs "needed immediately", but I have not heard from them. I have read so many good things about Opti-Script - tested recently but no openings right now. Low turnover rate - which is GOOD! So I'll wait.....So many slave shop companies out there - I don't want to go that route. Talked with some companies and tested with some. BTW, one gripe I have - testing for a company - and knowing you did well, but absolutely NO REPLY!!!
