My contract with TT - MT

What happens with my contract with TT if I send all my information to iMedX? Would I then be an employee of iMedX.  Can I be fired (by whom) for not giving them my informaton?  I do not know who they are.  I thought since TT merged that I was still employed by TT.  Can I get unemployment if I refuse to give my information to iMedX?

I dont know all the particulars, but i am pretty certain if you do not give your info to iMedX you will not get paid as yhey are taking over payroll. May get fired? We are all swimming upstream on this stuff:(

We were obviously blatantly lied to on the conference call when they kept saying over and over that nothing would change, then the next day we all get an email from IMedX asking for 2 forms of ID and there was a whole new payroll schedule, like we were all brand new employees. I refuse to send my private info to an overseas company, so I quit and went full-time at my part-time job that I had. This whole situation is a complete mess.

When TT tells you they merged, they are saying they were acquired. They are now under the umbrella of iMedX, not the other way around. Unless you wrote your contract and gave to TT, there is likely a clause in there somewhere that states you are part of the deal.

You now for for iMedX, the Transtech division, look at it like that. If you want to be paid, you will give payroll the information necessary to make that happen. If you don't give the information, then don't work because you won't get paid.

No, you cannot get unemployment. You aren't out of a job. You have a job. You get unemployment when you don't have a job. Getting fired from the job for refusing to give your info will not get you UE. If this was a physical position, in most states you could refuse to move to the new company if it is more than 50/100 or whatever number the state has assigned from your home.

You are already a remote employee of iMedX. If that is something you do not want to be, you will need to quit. Until or unless you do, you'd be obligated to follow the policies of the company or be fired. Again, fired for that circumstance is not one you'd receive UE for.

BTW, I'm not sure what the big deal is about giving payroll your information. You gave it to TT, right? iMedX is an American corporation with offices in India. They're legit. You'd get paid. If it's some misguided "not sending my information overseas," then that's just delusional on your part because if you've used a credit card, bought insurance, visited a hospital, or any other number of things - your information is already all over the place.

I'm sorry for the stress this has brought to all the MTs at TT but if you want to look out for yourself and keep working, then you're going to have to accept the reality that you work for iMedX.

I'm not sure why you called me Tracy and I didn't give you a lecture, just the facts.

And dont be too sure about winning a court case re that contract. I'm sure their attorneys have covered the bases given that TT has proven to be a litigious company itself.

I got a contract with this company and have never seen anything like it.  Their performance rating/expectations outline is the most condenscending, tryannical thing I have ever read.  I bet military rules are more lax than this company.  They give you a 12-hour window but then say you cannot leave your computer for more than 30 minutes 3 times a day.  Then even go on to explain you can't go to a party, grocery shopping, go to the gym, school event, social gathering, bake ...

In a state where there is a prevailing wage (over $19/hr for MTs) law for employees who perform work on a state government contract, how do you suppose this MTSO is in compliance when the MTSO itself is only getting less than 10 cents per line?
