Keystrokes just bought MTS of Texas. sm - TXMT

Posted: Mar 31, 2011

I am nervous and excited at the same time.  It's been a long time since I was an employee, so it will be a change.  I have a few friends who went there last year and are very happy, so I am sure it will be a good thing for all of us.  The drawback is that I feel too old for change, and I know things will.

MTS - RJ

I work for MTS too. I am really praying that it will be a good thing for all of us. I know what you mean about the whole change thing. I have worked for MTS for 10 years, and I have to admit I'm a little sad.

Who are your friends? - WorkerBee

I would like to know who your friends are who are so happy. Everyone I know who works for KS is miserable because there is no work and they are broke.

I'm happy - ksmt

I have been with KS almost 2 years and I am pretty happy here - is it perfect? No. Am I happy about the paycut? No. But, I have plenty of work (too much!) and the chance for OT almost every weekend, so I'll stay here for awhile. I like my work and the devil you know is better than the devil you don't!

I would like it much better if I had work. - KSer - no work

Care to share? I guess it depends who you are and who you are friends with.
Maybe ... - ksmt

Maybe it depends on your quality of work and your communication skills. When I didn't have enough work, I bugged and bugged my manager (she has since left) until I got some more work. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. I live over 1000 miles from the office, so I'm not friends with anyone there.

I just got an email about overtime being offered again this weekend.
Why should you have to keep begging for work? - Do not work for KS

These pro Keystroke messages read like from they are from the same person. Whatever your problem, call the office. Whatever your problem, they are one of the good ones to work for. (Not from what I read) I'm just glad to have a job even though they cut my wages! (That one was just plain silly.)
Thanks for the support. - KSer - No work.

You are absolutely right! I wonder if she would feel the same if she could not meet her rent or mortgage payment because her checks are not enough to cover it, or enough to get her through the month, as is the case with many of us. Bragging or management, one of the two.
Maybe? - KSer No work

Not maybe - KSer - no work

I do not begrudge anyone who does have work, and I certainly wouldn't make remarks on communication or quality of anyone's work, but what I do have is empathy for my fellow coworkers at KS and anyone else in the same position elsewhere.
Why did she leave? - Bugged too much.

It could be worse - Keystrokes is one of the good ones. - you will be protected. chin up.

I like it too! - Northern Key Employee

There are a lot of happy people at K. It is the best company I've ever worked for - I've worked for MQ, W, and others. Don't worry. There are a lot of people that just thrive on being miserable too. I don't think K is too broke if they can afford to be buying out other companies. Welcome to K new MTs!!

MTs are broke, not KS! - WorkerBee

[ In Reply To ..]
I said that the KS MTs I know are broke, not the company!

I personally know four KS employees who sit and twiddle their thumbs because there is no work. One lady is a single mother and is in really dire straits. And that is NOT counting the posters on here! (They don't come here, I asked them.)

Why don't all you posters who are supposedly standing in high cotton (as we say down South) tell the rest of us what kind of work you're doing? Are you on radiolgy or HIM? What kind of accounts: Transcription or voice? Outpatient or inpatient?

You won't answer those. I strongly suspect that you are KS management and not really MTs.

workerbee, LOL, love those titles - KSer - no work

I second that, I really would like to know. I had a whopping 43 reports in 7 hours, I am planning on taking a trip to Europe on that money.

You go girl!!!

Radiology, inpatient, transcription, not voice. Too much work. - Not Management

and very happy.
Don't believe it. - WorkerBee
[ In Reply To ..]
My friends are doing radiology too. So you two must have the same production manager.

Not buying it. They have all begged and pleaded for more work. You know what they got? Another account that was also overstaffed! One of my friends told me that she had 182 lines in 5 hours. !! I should get all of their line counts and post them on here.
I don't believe it either - KSer - no work
[ In Reply To ..]
Again, if that is true it is who you know.
It is not who you know, but what account you have IMO. nm - KSMT2

There's a post buried below regarding overtime and a case lost by Keystrokes in Texas.  A KS poster (probably the owner) states "It is a lie".  It's not a lie.  Here's the publicly accessible truth. The link for the original charges is listed below this post.  The Final Judgment 6/19/09 is below and states that all Keystrokes employees must be informed.  These files are open to the public to view. -------------------------------------------------------- ...
