Inscribe workload - curious

I was wondering if anyone out there knew anything about Inscribe's workload. Do they mostly offer voice recognition or straight typing reports? Do they run out work frequently? What are their volumes over the week/weekend? Do they pay by the 65 character line with spaces? Just curious since they're hiring, and I am thinking about applying. Thanks in advance

I have been with Inscribe for going on three years and have no problem with running out of work. If my primary runs out of work, I have a secondary account I can log onto.

They offer voice recognition but not the type you typically think of. Instead of fixing the mess you often end up with when physicians use voice recognition, you listen to what the physwicians are saying and dictate it into Dragon.

They pay by the 65-character line with spaces. I won't mention what they pay per line, but it is the highest I have seen paid for voice recognition.

The recruiter had told me what they pay per line for VR and it seemed to good to be true, but I guess not! I get paid by the minute with the company I am with now, and when I compare the line counts, Inscribe pays better. The majority of the doctors speed through their dictation on purpose, so doing by the minute is not as good as it seems. I also don't think it's right that these places hire you and tell you about the rate for straight transcription and VR, but fail to mention that the account is 90%+ VR.Â

Is the majority of work with Inscribe VR work too?

As for the owner, that sucks if she is abusive. It's sad to say, but I worked for a cell phone call center for 10 years, so the owner probably isn't as bad as what I put up with at my old job. It sucks when you get it from the customer AND management.Â

Nothing I like better than to have no work on a Saturday (when I am supposed to be working) and then get E-mailed throughout the day on Sunday asking for help and that the acount will fall behind and out of TAT. I'm really ticked off. Normally I have work every day. Today I have not been assigned any work and have been sitting here waiting and watching for work to come in. If they have no work for me, why don't they let me know that the work is low and nothing will be coming in? I guess if anything does come in now, it's not going to get done until after the holiday weekend. ...

I've noticed in reading posts lately a LOT of companies are majorly low on work. I'm looking to make contact with those MTs/SRs who are having issues keeping a steady flow of work from their current company or having issues with finding and keeping positions in MTSOs due to low workloads and lack of communication from the employers/MTSOs. I'm still trying to decide between Precyse and Softscript, and have to make a decision by tomorrow morning. I am an IC and have a prospective cliient who might have more work than I can handle on my own. I was really just looking for part-time job and this opportunity basically fell in my lap! I am not sure whether to just take the job and hire other ICs to help with my overflow or just tell them I am only looking for part-time work and risk losing eveyrthing. Hello MTs! I recently submitted application and tests document to InScribe US and was informed that although I did "well" on the test, I was slightly below their standards. They have invited me to participate in their internship program, take 4 of their learning modules, and work with someone one-on-one to bring me up to their standards. This is to cost $400. I was just wondering if anyone out there works for Inscribe or has taken their test for employment. I took the test and it was incredibly hard with ESL dictators. Just spoke with them and they hire IC and say you can pretty much work whenever you want as long as you make minimum counts. Pay is only .07 for typing or VR but they use own VR system that sounds interesting, you repeat what was dictated. Any info on them would be helpful. Thanks ...
