I'm considering working for InScribe. If anyone who has worked there for a while, I'm curious as to how steady the work volume is. What's their policy for working on holidays? Any info would be appreciated.

I worked there. Big mistake. They had plenty of work for most accounts. They will tell you that you have to work on holidays if the accounts are out of TAT. They will make you miserable. Hope this helps. I would go with another company.

Correct Fran, bipolar or met her hubby in a 12-steps program....me thinks an alcoholic with her outbursts. Backstabbers and kiss-asses run that company. Don't go! Yes, you are required to help your team members and if you don't, you get terminated, and terminated for their mistakes as well, while others can do crappy work and get away with it. You know who you are, the ones farmed in who have worked at the hospitals or facilities "forever", that when Inscribe went in and got the contract, they hired their employees, shoddy work and all, and let THEM slide and not abide by the same rules as everyone else. Yes, I saw that MULTIPLE TIMES. If you are a kiss-asser and want to rise to the top by backstabbing everyone else along the way, this is a great place for you.

Constantly changing policies and positions around. Owner is bipolar. Draws you in with all the nice talk and then smacks you around and threatens to drop your contract for her company's inability to staff appropriately. Constant IMs from other ICs wanting help on their reports and e-mails all day and night long with either the cheerleading or the threats.

Hello MTs! I recently submitted application and tests document to InScribe US and was informed that although I did "well" on the test, I was slightly below their standards. They have invited me to participate in their internship program, take 4 of their learning modules, and work with someone one-on-one to bring me up to their standards. This is to cost $400. I was just wondering if anyone out there works for Inscribe or has taken their test for employment. I took the test and it was incredibly hard with ESL dictators. In the email I received from them, along with turning me down was a shpeel on enrolling in their university. This made me wonder if it was ligit or what....... anyone know? ...

Just spoke with them and they hire IC and say you can pretty much work whenever you want as long as you make minimum counts. Pay is only .07 for typing or VR but they use own VR system that sounds interesting, you repeat what was dictated. Any info on them would be helpful. Thanks ...

I'm a new grad MT and have been offered a job by InScribe. Training has been promised for almost 2 weeks, but they never call when promised. I reviewed comments on InScribe going back to 2005 and the only positive comment I could find is that they pay on time. A red flag was that they hire newbies and require that you go to an MT chat room and send the audio to another MT to listen to when you have to leave a blank before sending it to QA. There was also a comment that you are required to read all the comments in the chat room. Can anyone confirm this is the case? If so, it sounds like they use the seasoned MT ...

I just started a job using Emdat Inscribe, and my footpedal I ordered hasn't come in yet, so I have been using the function keys to play audio. I have been doing this for about a week now with no problem, but today I log in to work though and the keys are no longer working. The only way I can get the audio to play is by using the mouse. Anyone know why this may be? I haven't changed any of the settings, so I am not sure why they won't work now. TIA. ...

Let me say that in all of the 20+ years I have been in this business, I have never encountered more rude, more criticizing, unprofessional people (particularly one manager ****) in my life. These people have you test initially, send you new hire paperwork to fill out, (which is so backward), then schedule you for a brief training on their software, then have you transcribe 5 reports. That is really not a problem, it is the way you are talked to in emails. I will copy and paste VERBA ...

There are reasons why a company has to keeping hiring for the same positions over and over again. Inscribe is that company. Most of the Tx are IC's but are forced to do the work of employees, i.e., training new transcriptionists, editing their work, being on call 24 7, computer-generated phone calls telling Tx's to get online any time of day or night, being on instant messenger AIM while transcribing in order to be able to help new people while you are transcribing - ...
