Anyone know about Inscribe? - Sandibug

I was just wondering if anyone out there works for Inscribe or has taken their test for employment. I took the test and it was incredibly hard with ESL dictators. In the email I received from them, along with turning me down was a shpeel on enrolling in their university. This made me wonder if it was ligit or what....... anyone know?

I just took their test too, and agree. It was incredibly hard. Haven't heard from them yet. I have seen from others that they are a legitimate company.

I am waiting to hear from the person who sent me the decline. They advertise themselves as hiring newbies so I actually felt pretty good about the test. I have to say I never encountered anything so hard in school and I went to a school with good acredidation and great reputation. I just can not believe that a newbie could do much better than me..... wow. Hours and hours wasted on that test.

so are their accounts. If you had struggled with the test, be glad they didn't hire you as you most likely would have struggled with the work too. I passed the test and worked for them for a few months. The work was even harder than the test they gave. Least they did pay me well. I did actually like working for them (had a great account manager), but I had issues with their transcription platform and so had to quit.

I applied, took their test, passed and was told I was going to receive the "get to know you" email in February. I have since been contacted at least 3 times by email asking if I would like to test for them. Each time I explain that I am still waiting- the ball is in their court. I was actually contacted by the owner at one point and told that they were hiring huge "waves" of trainees and that I would be in the next group. What a waste of time to work through that test only to be put on hold. Starting to think MT may not be the way to go and looking at plan B--for now, all the terminology helped me get a job abstracting paper files into Allscripts so my doctor's office can go EMR. It's not the stay at home work I would have liked but 10 an hour is nothing to turn your nose up at either while this company farts around.

Hello MTs! I recently submitted application and tests document to InScribe US and was informed that although I did "well" on the test, I was slightly below their standards. They have invited me to participate in their internship program, take 4 of their learning modules, and work with someone one-on-one to bring me up to their standards. This is to cost $400. Just spoke with them and they hire IC and say you can pretty much work whenever you want as long as you make minimum counts. Pay is only .07 for typing or VR but they use own VR system that sounds interesting, you repeat what was dictated. Any info on them would be helpful. Thanks ...

I'm a new grad MT and have been offered a job by InScribe. Training has been promised for almost 2 weeks, but they never call when promised. I reviewed comments on InScribe going back to 2005 and the only positive comment I could find is that they pay on time. A red flag was that they hire newbies and require that you go to an MT chat room and send the audio to another MT to listen to when you have to leave a blank before sending it to QA. There was also a comment that you are required to read all the comments in the chat room. Can anyone confirm this is the case? If so, it sounds like they use the seasoned MT ...

I just started a job using Emdat Inscribe, and my footpedal I ordered hasn't come in yet, so I have been using the function keys to play audio. I have been doing this for about a week now with no problem, but today I log in to work though and the keys are no longer working. The only way I can get the audio to play is by using the mouse. Anyone know why this may be? I haven't changed any of the settings, so I am not sure why they won't work now. TIA. ...

Let me say that in all of the 20+ years I have been in this business, I have never encountered more rude, more criticizing, unprofessional people (particularly one manager ****) in my life. These people have you test initially, send you new hire paperwork to fill out, (which is so backward), then schedule you for a brief training on their software, then have you transcribe 5 reports. That is really not a problem, it is the way you are talked to in emails. I will copy and paste VERBA ...

There are reasons why a company has to keeping hiring for the same positions over and over again. Inscribe is that company. Most of the Tx are IC's but are forced to do the work of employees, i.e., training new transcriptionists, editing their work, being on call 24 7, computer-generated phone calls telling Tx's to get online any time of day or night, being on instant messenger AIM while transcribing in order to be able to help new people while you are transcribing - ...
