ImedX--No 1099 tax as an IC - Vera

I still have not received my 1099 form for my taxes and I sent an Email to ImedX. Still no word. Has anyone had this issue? I worked for them for 4-1/2 months as an IC. I am about to call the address located in Atlanta to track it down. I have evidence that I worked for them from bank deposits. This is rediculous. Would anyone have a number that I could contacrt?

Sorry, I just had to say this. I too have worked IC years ago and got burned $2000, so no more. Oh, don't worry about the extra tax hit you'll get this year either, you got that with your wage increase, or did you? Humm....Sorry to be mean, but IC only once a life, then we learn.

Wow... I've worked as an IC for years and years, never with a problem. Why presume that everyone's experience will be the same as yours? Misery loves company?

I have not received one, either. Prior to Imedx buying the company I worked for (GIS) I had no issue. I as well added up everything that I made with them in order to file taxes. I have emailed countless IMEDX contacts including HR and called simply asking for their FIN since I obviously was not going to be betting a 1099. My amount was over $4000 so I have to file on it or it'll catch up with me later. If nothing else, I will use the FIN from GIS.

so trying to email JG but email is "undeliverable" at the Imedx email acct...been having a lot of that lately with bounce backs. Will try her again in the system, pain in the butt.' Imedx asked to email them to your email acct, which is what I had done but it was only for a few month, though they took over from GIS in January 2014, before that, got the noticed in Dec. 2013. So no idea what is going on with the 1099s, if I have to though will figure it out and do my taxes anyway, not waiting around forever for them to get off their butts.

I worked for imedx as an IC for a few months early in 2014 (very good experience, btw, and would have stayed longer if my other account had not picked up) and have also not received a 1099. I e-mailed them and within the hour got a response that it was on its way. This is consistent with my GOOD experience with this company.

You are still responsible to claim the income on your taxes whether you get a 1099 or not.

If you earned less than $600, they don't have to file a 1099 on you. I worked PRN for an employer off an on last year and only earned just under $400, so I probably won't receive a 1099 from them. I'll just print off copies of the invoices to take to my tax accountant for filing.

I'm curious about all the posts regarding getting your 1099 if you're an IC. As an IC, a business person, you should already know what you've billed to clients (services). You don't need to wait for a 1099 to file your income taxes if you've kept good records and already know what you billed out and what you received. I have still not received my 1099 from Accentus (before we were all transitioned to employee by Nuance) or my W2 from Nuance. Tomorrow is the deadline, so maybe they will be in the mailbox then, but was wondering if anyone else has had experienced this. I need to know if MTs filing as ICs can claim dependents for the child tax credit and what, if any, forms I need in addition to the 1099-MISC form they sent me. Hi, I am new to the independent contractor thing, but shouldn't a company that has "hired" you as an independent contrator have your SS and a 1099 filled out by you? Just wondering as it seems to me this is necessary and since it is not being done, it makes me wonder about this company that much more, espcially since others have stated they have not been paid by this company.
