iMedX PTO - Curious

My company has been acquired by iMedX. How much PTO do we get? Thank you.

I have a couple for them already. The email I received stated they were having a conference call Tuesday, and gave an email for questions we could ask beforehand.

Hoping it's not a huge change, like when I decided Nuance sucked too much to stay anymore (little over a year ago).

Not to be Debbie Downer, but I would start looking now as a back up. My company was awesome, I was with them for 15 years...they were bought by IMedX and I lost everything and then some. :(

elaborate? Cut in pay? Cut in PTO? Cut in hours? Laid off?

I don't mean to sound stupid, but Id love some specifics before the conference call. It might help with our list of questions as well.

We were not even told they were bought out, initially. They even still advertise as Alpha, but indeed are IMedX and have been for two years now. I knew something was weird when I had to call IT and got a tech in India. I started questioning and eventually was told the truth, but still told things would remain the same and not to worry. We shortly thereafter got switched to a new platform where the lines are about half what we were getting, our pay was cut, they wanted a schedule as an IC and it could not deviate ever (illegal), they lost many accounts, and are now in labor law trouble for not paying prevailing wage for so many years, as is stated in the VA contract they have. Of course, they do not care, and will not answer yo u any time you ask about any of these things. They tell you just basically to work your hours and if you do not like it look elsewhere. I was in the end making less than min wage, so quit. I was averaging $25/hour with Alpha for so many years and loved my job. It's incredibly sad, especially that VA accounts would sell out to India. ;( I wish you the best of luck, however. All I can say is stay proactive and the right thing for you will work out, one way or another.

What was the timeframe of all of this? Weeks, months, years? How long did you last once the "merge" happened? TIA!

I think from my guess at the time, it had been about 4 months before I figured it out, when I had to call tech and started asking questions. We had in-house tech before they were bought, so having to call elsewhere made me start asking. They first lied and said they just outsourced the tech department, but a little google search told me they were bought out by IMedX. I tried to tough it out for about 6 months and got so far behind I my bills that I started looking for something local, which thankfully I found. UGH, I hate that this is happening to anyone else..and see it is almost across the board. I really have no idea how they are becoming so big as a company. I cannot fathom doctors are happy/impressed with work done by non English speaking or trained people, but something must be working. Sigh.

I never gave the name of my company and we are not having a conference call so it must be a different company. I wanted answers from current iMedX employees but maybe they are all in India.

TransTech Medical Solutions, then yes, there is a conference call today. Perhaps you just didn't receive an email about it? From what I understand, TTMS merged with iMedX. If you are talking about another company, that seems odd that iMedX would be acquiring a different company when they just merged with TTMS. I dunno ;)

What we were told is that it was a "partnership". They were just described to us as a new HR company taking over our HR Department. I hadn't heard anything about people getting layed off, but it doesn't surprise me.
