Very good company to work for! I have been with them for almost 2 years and look to be with them for many more... Pay is on time on the 15th and last day of each month. User-friendly Emdat Inscribe platform, which lets you look at previous reports and keeps up with your line count. I would definitely recommend them.

Do they have plenty of work? Flexible schedules? - yochana

You do not have a set schedule for most accounts. I think radiology probably does. You have turn around times. You have exclusive accounts, and then you will sometimes have backup accounts for when your exclusive is slow or does not submit that day. You start as an IC, so I think you can work as many hours as you want. I'm not sure about with employee status, but I don't have to log my hours or anything. You just get your work done. Having exclusives really helps with your line counts. I stay extremely busy, and I have great accounts.

I also work for Zylomed. Started out part-time, now almost full-time IC, but they also offer employee status. The Inscribe platform is great and they always pay on time. The dictators for the most part are all very very good, and the exclusives do help boost line count. I can't say they do anything like some of the other nationals to motivate or pat the MT on the back - you just have to let your paycheck be your pat, but otherwise my experience over the last year with them has been 100% a good one. Addendum Added 18 Jan 2011: Please disregard my statements about Zylomed made above. I have since seen in treatment of others and experienced personally very unprofessional behavior by this company. I no longer work for them but am very happy to answer any questions about this addendum so please feel free to email me.

Unlike some of these ridiculous MTSOs, Zylomed does not overhire, so unless there is an opening they don't hire just for the sake of hiring.

I really like working for them. Their training is a bit on the fly, but the account managers are great. Never a shortage of work. Prompt payment on 15th & end of month. You can become an employee and get benefits but the premiums are pretty high. But it's nice to have the option. I've been very happy with them!

I work for ZM and love it there, but we were recently acquired by Accentus and I hear they are big on VR. Also, the last Emdat update I took showed MModal Editor, which was not in the previous version, so I am wondering if this is the first step to VR at ZM, too. Just wondered if anyone has any credible information on this. Does anyone know why Zylomed starts you out as an IC and then offers employee status? What does employee status get you? PTO? Benefits? I understand there is no VR, do you know if it is all clinic transcription? Are there any incentives? Has anyone on the clinic side (Formerly Zylomed) of things heard anything at all about some of the things posted here on the Nuance board? Does not sound so good to me...... As of April 16 we are now employees. I have always been an IC. I do not follow a "web clock." I have always just done my accounts by the TAT required and have been left alone. My last 3 audits have 100, 100 and 99%. I am curious what is in store.
