Filled out online application for Keystrokes - mtanon

Does anyone know how long it will take them to respond? Just curious, I am very interested in a few positions they listed open and am eager to hear if I qualify!
depends on who you are, I guess... - alias

I had interviewed with them over five years ago and ended up turning down a position in orthopedics because I was paid more from my then employer. I was also IC and did not want to give up that status to be employee. I have since had many changes of mind, sent numerous resumes in the past five years, having regreted my decision not to joint them, and they will not respond to me in any way, shape or form. I am primarily ortho and that is one of the positions they are recruiting for. My most recent application/resume was one month ago. No response. So, good luck to you! They must have black marks all over my employment profile and I do not know how to change that at this point. I would go in a heartbeat this time...more water under the bridge I am on, and ready to sail away from where I am now, if given the opportunity. I hope you get it.
You are much better off - that should give you a clue as to what

Things are not looking promising. So far, I'm getting a lot of conflicting information and a lot of promises. I'm not feeling good about this deal at all.

My experience has been nothing but positive. I'm glad I made this choice!! The new-hire process was a bit frustrating at first, but since starting all has been great.

I think you are just jealous you let a itty bitty problem become so big in your mind that you felt you had to leave and now you regret it. KS is really the only good one left out there, and I've tried many of them.
Fun and work don't go in the same sentence - just me

I doubt that working for Keystrokes is fun. Unless you have such a sweet account that you're making huge money per hour every day and there is always tons of work. Then, you would have time to have FUN when and if you ever had time off. Their rules for taking time off and how much time you accrue is slim.
But thanks for the good laugh.
I totally agree, I back up that statement. - Obviously reality has not yet set in.
Been at KS several years now. - Very nice place to work.

It was one of my luckiest breaks I have had.
NO regrets. - Just honest answers.

FUN? You must work in the office. I understand it is a party there all of the time. Production and fun do not go together in the same sentence. Stop thinking, it could be dangerous for you.
15 cents a line makes it fun with all the overtime. - I like it!

All you bitter people will never find a good company because you read the worst into everything. Change your attitude and you'll change your life.
I doubt KS is paying 15 cents a line much less 10 cents a line - especially after pay cuts.
That is my OT rate and lots of OT right now. - Very, very nice.

OT has been going on for quite awhile now and will continue in the foreseeable future. KS does have a higher pay scale than other services. I was quite surprised when they showed that to us.
Overtime is 1 1/2 x what regularly make. Again... - I highly doubt you are making .10/line.
I am trying to apply at Globespan but when I try to download my resume onto the online application I keep getting an error message. You are supposed to download it in Word or pdf format. I thought I was downloading it in Word, but it doesn't seem to work.
Does anyone out there know what would cause this not to work? I really need some help with this since I am really anxious to apply for the opening. Please help if you can. Thank you so much. ...
I applied for a position through the KS website - when I check my status, it shows no "consent" yet. I do not quite understand this - does this mean they provide a "consent" if they want me to go further and take the test ?? If so, would this "consent" show up in an email notification or do I keep checking my status to see ?
Thanks for any info. ...
I had: _______ ischemic changes. I couldn't make out the word directly before (seriously slurring ESL).
The blank was filled in with "anicteric." ???? Is there such a thing as anicteric ischemic changes? I can't find reference this this anywhere.
I want to make sure before I try to reverse this. ...
people can be so stupid, or oblivious, to the fact that they have an over-abundance of MTs during the week that run out of work on a constant basis but, on the weekends, work is over-flowing to the tune of "help help help".
Can they not figure out that if they would cough up just a few more cents a line for someone to cover weekend shifts, and offer it IN HOUSE first, that this all could be eliminated? Of course, I don't know why it amazes me. These people never were in the tra ...
I was reading the newsletter....employees in Philippines with MM t-shirts and mugs filled with chocolate. What do we get? A big fat nothing, sitting here waiting for work to come in. I can't believe I actually went to school for this (many years ago). Actually, keep your mugs and t-shirts -- I would prefer a raise...and some WORK!! ...
If a doctor says something that a third grader would know is nonsense and the MLS leaves a blank, why does the QC person fill it in? We're supposed to use critical thinking skills, but yet they fill in something stupid when it's blatantly wrong.
Then, we get an email with all kinds of information regarding normal laboratory values and we are supposed to use critical thinking skills for all that and determine when it is normal or abnormal.
Oh, I'm still waiting for my MD degree t ...
Do they actually go into the chart like that? I'm sure nobody retypes the reports with the corrections in them, so how does that pass the Joint Commission's inspection? ...
Got an e-mail from TransTech that the positions for the rad MT job posting on the Job Seeker's Board dated 3/6/2012 are filled, however, the posting is still listed here, so not sure what the real deal is. I'm sure someone from their company will see this post then remove the ad. But, I do wonder if they just don't want to hire and pay a good line rate for an experienced MT. If anyone else applied for this posting, did you also receive that e-mail? ...
I bought a computer that I used for work (100% work, nothing else). I know I file 4562, section 179, but I am having the hardest time trying to figure out where I am supposed to put the information. It's just the computer and nothing else. I read that I do not have to depreciate this, it falls under eligible property. Just confused where to put the info.
I'm filling out the forms by hand. I absolutely hate hate hate Turbo tax and two years ago H&R blo ...
Hi,
I am new to the independent contractor thing, but shouldn't a company that has "hired" you as an independent contrator have your SS and a 1099 filled out by you? Just wondering as it seems to me this is necessary and since it is not being done, it makes me wonder about this company that much more, espcially since others have stated they have not been paid by this company. I guess if they are not planning on paying me they don't need a 1099 or SS# huh? ...
My computer crashed, and I lost everything on it, including the names of some past supervisors and their contact info. I keep calling and e-mailing my old jobs and can't get in touch with anyone that can give me this information.
So I apply for new jobs, and I need this info to put on my job applications. What should I put instead, since I don't have it? I put the name and address of the company and telephone number. What should I put for the supervisor name and contact numb ...
After being scared to death to make a change (or mistake) I revamped my resume and faxed it for a job for a non-profit organization working for those with disabilities. I probably won't get it and might not even pay as much as transcription still does, but was liberated that I took the risk finally. Thanks Q for getting me out of my comfort zone~~~ ...
I recently applied to a Craiglist ad for a medical secretary in a neurologist's office. I wrote that I would be available for medical transcription services in my home office, hoping they would consider outsourcing this part of their work.
The doctor emailed me yesterday saying he was very impressed with my credentials and would I consider working for them full time ( which I don't want).
I've got a bit of writer's block about how to reply to him so that he might cons ...
I'm just wondering if anyone can answer this for me. I know it sounds like a really ditzy question but...here goes. I just filled out an online application for US Transcription and completed their transcription test. I submitted it and it says the test sent but it took me right back to the transcription test page. Does anyone know if you have to do more than one? It didn't specify. ...
Hey! I've just recently moved and quit my transcription job working in a hospital. I'm actually looking to work for an online company but am really leary about scams. I wanted to apply with Medquist since I've seen people talking about it, but one of the first things they want is my ssn. That just seemed odd to me. Any opinions on this? Am I just being too paranoid? ...
I am filling out a non-MT job application, and I need to list an address for MQ. The last paycheck I have states Mount Laurel, NJ; however the MQ website now says Franklin, TN? Anyone know what address I should use? Thanks! ...
I quit my transcription job this past summer after almost 15 years in the transcription field. Everything that I enjoyed about transcription when I started was no longer there. I was tired of seeing my pay go down, benefits being taken away, and sitting for hours trying to get my work done. I wasn't sure if I was going to try and find another transcription job or just take some much needed time off. I was looking at some job postings at a local hospital, and they have a position for a s ...
I just submitted an application to Amphion. I have 20+ years experience as well as supervisory in a hospital. My application instantly came back saying I did not meet their requirements. Maybe overqualified?? ...
I'm usually not stupid, really, but I've tried for several days to sign on on the Nuance site application page but don't ever get the "two words with a space" right. First of all, I see a word and a box with a number--do I type both of those, counting the number as a word? Hasn't worked so far. I tried "unscrambling" the word I saw and making it 2 words, but that only worked once and I still didn't get into the application part.
Can someone please clue me in? ...
Hi everyone,
I would like to know if anyone else has recently applied to Softscript for a typing test and was told they did NOT pass?
I have been a very good MT for about 25 years and was very surprised to be told about this! They didn't send me the corrections, either! ...
Once you have gone through the first phase of the on-line application process and answered all the questions, ending up at a screen which says "thank you", then what happens? I did not see any section to submit a resume or whether anyone would call or email or whether I'm supposed to call or email or what the next step in the on-line application process may be. TIA for any and all help with this. ...
