Keystrokes application and consent - consent?

I applied for a position through the KS website - when I check my status, it shows no "consent" yet. I do not quite understand this - does this mean they provide a "consent" if they want me to go further and take the test ?? If so, would this "consent" show up in an email notification or do I keep checking my status to see ? Thanks for any info.

It is HR@KeystrokesMT.com. I am liking KS so far. I have a friend, actually someone I used to work with in house, that has worked there for about a year, and she recommended them to me. She told me to ignore the people on this site, and I'm glad I did.

Their HR person was fired- so not sure if you are held up on that test because of that (re-read what I wrote- the HR person was fired- NOT a good sign) - anyway, Mel is right- honeymoon stage. Post here in 4-6 weeks and let us know if you have enough work.

She was awful. Pay in this industry sucks these days. Nothing we can do about it. I like KS. I've worked several places since Nuance devoured WebMedx. KS leaves you alone and lets you work. I really like it there, even though I make 1/2 of what a made a few years ago. I think that would be true anywhere. Sadly.

She tried to do the right thing and follow the law. She was told to watch her back for those reasons. She was just doing her job, her job was not an easy one. If KS left you alone you would have no reason to deal with her or make such a statement. If anything is awful, it is the company you work for.

Unless you are one of the few who do know the whole story, you can't say much more than the rest of us.

What I do know is that she was a very unfriendly person who thought she was more important than she was and that most of the MT's that I know couldn't stand her.

Even though she was not a friendly or nice person, what company would not have REPLACED the HR person versus let her go- and fire others at the same time - just saying beware and never put all eggs in 1 KS basket.

It was a good decision by KS to let her go. It was due to her conduct that I left at the end of last year, other than a heartless, inflexible coordinator.

It's a real shame, though, because I worked for KS for nearly 7 years. For the first 5, I couldn't ask for a better place to work for. The owner is for the most part a fair, compassionate and understanding person; however, some of her underlings (the 2 mentioned above) were too big for their britches and cared nothing about the MTs.

If she was mean, it was because she had to deal with KS favorites, prima donnas and unrealistic expectations. All management, coordinators, and TL's are too big for their britches, they seem to forget who makes the money for them, especially those who have gone above and beyond only to be burned big time.

It is none of your business who I am. I did not say I was an MT. Stop guessing. I told her to watch her back. Do your job instead of gossiping and second guessing unless of course you are a favorite and couldn't take what you dish out.

I know the whole story, and I know the HR person and another person who was let go that day. The HR person was actually quite nice, but was doing a difficult job in very bad circumstances. She had to deal with a lot of nonsense, some from KS upper management, but most from sub-par MT employees.

KS has something like 500 MTs, the vast majority of whom are good, hard working employees. But HR, by definition, mostly has to deal with the difficult employees. Anyone who had trouble with her might well ask themselves if they, not her, were actually the problem.

Everyone at KS who works at a management level or in the office knows to watch their back. It can be rather... say mercurial. And it has only gotten worse as money has become tighter over the past year.

I also know the whole story. You must be a fan of JD's, or related. She was not familiar with the MT world and her personality did NOT fit in at KS. She was cold, heartless and I'm glad she finally got the ax. Karma is a Bitch and so was she. Glad to see her gone!!! Now if they could just get rid of CS...the company would be perfect again!!!!

So here's a bit of that back at you... if you had to deal with JD, and you've had problems with CSS, you must be a problem employee who is lazy and/or not too bright, and so causes a lot of extra work for other people.

I'm usually not stupid, really, but I've tried for several days to sign on on the Nuance site application page but don't ever get the "two words with a space" right. First of all, I see a word and a box with a number--do I type both of those, counting the number as a word? Hasn't worked so far. I tried "unscrambling" the word I saw and making it 2 words, but that only worked once and I still didn't get into the application part. Can someone please clue me in? ...

I am trying to apply at Globespan but when I try to download my resume onto the online application I keep getting an error message. You are supposed to download it in Word or pdf format.
