I just submitted an application to Amphion. I have 20+ years experience as well as supervisory in a hospital. My application instantly came back saying I did not meet their requirements. Maybe overqualified??

What kind of experience do you have? What did their ad say they wanted? Were there specific hours they wanted that you did not indicate availability?

I'm pretty sure it's not overqualified.

and I got the same response almost immediately. I have been an MT for 17 years. Not sure what they want.

I, too, applied there and I was told there is no day (9-3)shift available which is the only shift I am able to work.

Didn't see their ad but applied and tested on MT Test last week. Must have passed because I am going to interview for a 3:00-11:00 time slot. It can't be over qualification as I have worked in radiology, acute care and multispecialty. Keep trying.

I heard that Amphion uses DocQscribe now, does anyone know if that is one of the platforms they use? I emailed them about this, and all I got back in an email was a job description and link to their testing site. No answer from them.

I know they use M*Modal VR because a friend - of mine worked there.

I wouldn't stress too much about it because you aren't missing much. They have many platforms, their own called Triton, Editscript, Bayscribe and I'm not sure what else but with editing they have their own formula for figuring it all out so you actually end up editing almost double to get your lines in. So if you are supposed to edit 5000 lines like required for PT with their formula you end up editing almost 9000 to get your 5000, it's crazy.

Sometimes if you happen to select the wrong item on the application, for example, if your internet speed is not fast enough, or the wrong country, etc. the test site will kick you out. You should call the recruiter at Amphion.

Hey! I've just recently moved and quit my transcription job working in a hospital. I'm actually looking to work for an online company but am really leary about scams. I wanted to apply with Medquist since I've seen people talking about it, but one of the first things they want is my ssn. That just seemed odd to me. Any opinions on this? I'm usually not stupid, really, but I've tried for several days to sign on on the Nuance site application page but don't ever get the "two words with a space" right. First of all, I see a word and a box with a number--do I type both of those, counting the number as a word? Hasn't worked so far. I tried "unscrambling" the word I saw and making it 2 words, but that only worked once and I still didn't get into the application part. Can someone please clue me in? ...

as though they have a very complicated application process. Just reading the instructions had me cross-eyed. Also, in addition to the written test, application, they also WANT 6 VOICE FILES TRANSCRIBED for their testing?? with CBS Transcription. The recruiter provided test results which has not happened on the few times I tested for a company. Her emails were not canned text and she was quite pleasant. Unfortunately, CBS uses Express Scribe which is an AWFUL program now. I could not get the auto backstep to work no matter what I did with the settings. Not sure how one could make any money using that. ...
