A community of 30,000 US Transcriptionist serving Medical Transcription Industry
I'm just wondering if anyone can answer this for me. I know it sounds like a really ditzy question but...here goes. I just filled out an online application for US Transcription and completed their transcription test. I submitted it and it says the test sent but it took me right back to the transcription test page. Does anyone know if you have to do more than one? It didn't specify.
Are you talking about U.S. Transcription in Wisconsin? There are several companies with similar names and people get confused as to which one they are talking about.
Are they advertising or did you find their website and just apply on your own?
If it is the one in Wisconsin, their site is kind of confusing and misleading. You actually cannot apply by going through their site; you have to Email the President first. Then, he will Email you back if he likes your resume. Then, the Senior Account Manager will Email you with the link for the testing and instructions on how to send it back.
This was over a year ago, so the procedure might have changed, but if I remember correctly, there are 3 parts to the testing. First, there is a multiple choice written test, then a fill in the blank type where you type in the correct answer, and finally the audio transcription test, where they want you to transcribe at least 2 documents, which are different depending on if you are applying for acute care/hospital or clinic work. The acute care includes an operative report. They also want everything back to them within 12 hours of receiving the Email, so you don’t want to go too far after you get the first Email from the President
I applied with them over a year ago, took the test, passed, and was told that they had filled all the positions, but I would be put on the wait list and would be called for the next opening. Since then, they have advertised several times, but I never got a call back from them. So much for being next in line. LOL
Not a ditzy question. I think I did the same thing.
Hope this helps.
Good luck to you. Let us know if you get the job.
