Merger....very worried! - DFRSB

Well I was in the West regeon.  The big "merger" of accounts took place on Monday the 18th.  Well...by Wednesday I started to get the "no jobs allocated" message.  I am really hoping this is not going to be a trend.  All of the work must have seriously gone offshore...if not, where is it?  This doesn't look good... Undecided

I is called the West Strategic Service Center Merger. My supervisor has not really kept me/us informed at all. Really have not heard much from her lately...

rude. If it only applies to some, it should be addressed individually. From what I gather the new manager was a manager over our accounts at one point in the past. I can do without the food recipes and motivational tips. Show me the money and pump your breaks on the chastising emails I say.

Also, anyone have any ideas why we are being restricted from checking the backlog? Can't tell whether there are hundreds of minutes of work, just a few minutes of work, or if 20 people are working on an account or only a few. What's up with that?

Like I said...hardly hear from my CCM. I even failed last month's audits at 99.32 and was never written up! LOL She is really MIA!!!

I too am in the former West region. I was told by my HDSM that "they" decided to not allow the MTs access to the DEP site after the merger. I really miss having access as well.

As far as getting NJA...and please do not take any offense to this...but what Tier are you? That may have something to do with it.

Since your HDSM does not appear to be keeping you updated, it's possible your information was not transferred properly too. I would contact the Workflow Hotline and see what they can do for you.

How in the world is 99.32 failing when the industry "standard" is 98%???

I get an e-mail one day where I have a random audit and I am doing great, and then a few days later I get an e-mail saying I have several reports with mistakes that were outside of the blanks sent to QA. It is enough to make you want to tear your hair out or find some other type of work to do, and I think we will have to anyway as this work is going, going, gone to INDIA.

I still have access to the global backlog. currently, there are 500 US MTs to 1000 global MTs working right now. There is a total of 28,000 jobs in the system.

It seems like more transcription is being offered for in-house rather than IC at home jobs. Tonight I went online and put 'work at home medical transcription jobs' and after going through all the transcription school ads, I only found 2 companies hiring for at home work, the others were all in an office or hospital setting.  It seems as though the demand for going in-house is getting greater every day.  Because of my blind Schnauzer, I need to be at home for those times when ...

They have terminated some office/administrative people and now have eliminated weekend incentives and given pay CUTS to transcriptionists.  Work is nearly non-existent.  At the beginning of the summer they said it was a temporary slow down and would pick up shortly.  Instead it seems to be getting worse.  Anyone know anything?? Anyone else in SA3 having problems with this merger?  My first job after we switched to the combined South area with a new log in # came up completed by someone else.  Called my manager and she said her phone is riinging off the hook with people telling her the same thing.  She does not know what the problem is, has to investigate. My CCM is great, I know she will inform us as soon as she knows, but in the meantime if these jobs keep coming up completed and all I do is upload ...

I came in with the merger of MDI a year+ ago.  I almost got an ulcer reading some of these posts, seriously.  While you must consider what you see here, especially when there is an abundance of similar opinions, be aware, a small percentage of the company's MTs post here.  I will offer my advice.  Treat it like a death of a spouse.  Mourn your loss and look towards the future.  Don't make any big changes for 1 year, or at minimum 4-6 months.  Go with ...

I guess this is just a question to those who have been part of a Nuance merger in the past.  Were you able to keep the schedule you were working before the merger, or were you herded into the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift spots?  I work split shift over two of them right now.  Anyone allowed to keep working M-F after a merger? I suppose I'm mainly wondering if I can continue to pick my own random schedule after the Trasncend merger is complete. ...

Seems to me no one wants to hire Medquist because of their terrible quality so now they are swallowing up competitors platforms and bullying their way into accounts. Can anyone currently working in QA at Nuance comment on how the position is compensated.  Do you get an hourly wage like we currently do at Transcend or can we expect to be switched to production based.  Do you even have QA staff?  The company I came from previously (Medquist) practically did away with their QA staff, making them MTs/QA.  Just wondering what I can expect.  Thanks for your opinions. ...
