A community of 30,000 US Transcriptionist serving Medical Transcription Industry
I responded to DTSOK's job posting on another board 2 weeks ago. Within a couple hours, I received an email from their recruiter, indicating that I should take the test that day, as they were planning to talk to people that week. I did this. A day later, I received an email from the transcription manager, indicating that I had passed the test, and asking if I was still interested, and asking me to respond to her with the best time for her to call me. I did this. Since then, I have not heard a peep from them. I wrote again last week, asking if she was still planning to call, and she did not have the courtesy to respond at all. In the past 2 weeks, I have only left the house once, and according to my Caller ID, no one called while I was away. I have call waiting. So, I conclude that she did not call. How rude!
I've always believed that the best a company will ever treat you is during the recruitment process. If the recruitment is conducted in a thoughtless and rude manner, the rest of the experience will generally go badly.
It seems that some MTSOs think that MTs are so desperate that we will allow them to treat us anyway they want. Well, I'm one that won't stand for it.
Just thought I'd share my experience with DTSOK of Oklahoma, just in case it may help others down the road to decide whether or not to take the time to test, should another ad show up.
Also, there has to be a better way to earn minimum wage working from home using my computer. We don't have to allow others to use us, abuse us, and then toss us away when they are done.
Thanks,
